the five of us sat down outside the chateau when john b stood up "i'm calling it off, okay" he said.

"he's right" i spoke "peterkin's helping us with DCS if we stay out of the marsh"

i sat back down looking over to jj "you believed her?" he asked looking back at me, "she seemed genuine" i responded quietly.

"you believed an actual cop?" he continued now standing up.

john b then interrupted the conversation "all we have to do is stay out the marsh and she's helping us, and it doesn't help that your ass was the one shooting a gun"

jj then spoke in a low tone clearly annoyed "i should've just let topper drown your ass"

the two boys kept arguing as me and kie looked at eachother rolling our eyes. jj then ranted on about the kooks "if they don't want us to go down the marsh that means there's something valuable down there and you know it" he pointed at john b.

he then looked down at pope "i understand why you don't want to go, you're the golden boy, too much to risk" then he turned to kie "you're rich as fuck anyway"

he then looked at john b and i "us three, we have nothing to loose man"

john b walked off and jj caught up with him, i overheard them talking about scuba gear from ward and that's when i knew the plan was gonna be crazy.

"you actually got him to steal from ward cameron" i said to jj who was in my room looking at the polaroids on my desk. "he's gonna get caught"

"nothing to loose" jj mumbled under his breath.

i got off my bed and nudged the boy so i could see what photo he was looking at. it was a photo of us two new year's eve. "i love that photo" i said to him.

"it's decent" he replied smiling at me lightly.

i let go of my smile "hey uh" i began "thankyou, for what you did at the kegger, i didn't get a chance to say then"

he ran his hand down my arm stopping at my hand to hold onto it "just looking out for you" he replied making me smile again.

my door rapidly flew open from pope causing jj to drop my hand and we moved away from eachother awkwardly "uh.." pope was confused "we're heading out to the marsh now"
