chapter twenty five

TRIGGER WARNING - EMETEPHOBIA - symptoms of sickness included

Lily's eyes flickered open, but her vision remained simply as dark through the night. The pain was excruciating, mentally and physically. It had been around a month now, and every day she was haunted by the memories, everyday the internal bruising of her stomach seemed to ache more and more. But tonight was particularly bad. Even through the winter night, she began to feel herself sweating and shaking in the pain, nausea evolving throughout her body.
"M-Martin," she whispered, quivering as she tapped the boy next to her who was fast asleep. Or so she thought.
"You ok?" He grumbled in his husky night voice, rolling to face Lily.
"Actually, I'm not, it hurts so much," she began to wimper, a single tear escaping. This immediately woke him up completely, as he sat up dramatically.
"What hurts? What's happened?" He panicked, placing his hand on her back.
"Just my stomach, it's just the bruising but it's making me feel so sick," Lily continued, her head now resting in her hands as she took deep breaths.
"Wait there," Martin quickly kissed the top of her head before heading to the kitchen and filling up a glass of water.
"Take small sips," he whispered, carefully placing the glass into her shaking hands. The smitten man calmly collected a hair brush and scrunchie off the bedside table, perching behind her and beginning to brush gently. His calming aura was a positive influence on the girl, which she was forever grateful for. After sweetly collecting her hair behind her shoulders, he tied it in the scrunchie incase she was forced to act on her nausea.
"Thank you," she smiled subtly through the darkness, her shaking subsiding slightly as she took a small sip of her water.
"If you still have pain tomorrow, please go to the doctors," he raised his eyebrows concerned.
"We already know what it is, it was that idiot kicking me," Lily sniffed.
"But they might be able to give you some more medication, you don't deserve to feel like this," he sighed, kissing her shoulder. The girl nodded subtly, giving into his comfort and resting her head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm tightly around her.
"It'll all be okay," he whispered into her, partially for his own reassurance.
"Promise?"
"I promise."

Lily :
Guys is anyone able to cover my shift today? 10am-3pm?
Lily :
I've been up since like 3 am in the bathroom being sick bc of these bloody stomach aches

Lester :
Shit you ok??

Simon :
I would, but it's you so no I won't

Lily :
Fuck you 🙄 yeah I'm ok, just got really bad pain in the night and got all hot and sweaty, then ended up actually being ill and haven't stopped since

Simon :
I'm only joking pal, I'll be in at 10 dw

Lily :
Genuinely grateful you lil legend

Lester:
Great now I have to deal with him

Josie :
Get better soon Lily, you know where we are if you need anything

Lily :
Thank youuuu, I should be fine. Bless Marty, he hasn't stopped running around for me 😂although he's finally fallen asleep now after being up all night getting me water and rubbing my back and listening to me cry lol

Oh god this sounds scary 😂 yes I am, is everything okay?

Josie :
Don't worry lovely, it's not scary! I just wondered if you  had seen a doctor or something about your symptoms?

Lily :
I haven't yet, but Martin wanted me to go today if I wasn't feeling better so I'll be going later today

Josie :
That's good I'm glad

Ok Im just going to get this out of the way, is there a chance you may be pregnant, Lily? I know the chances are it's just your injuries, but your symptoms do sound very similar to how i was with Felix

Lily :
Oh Im fairly certain Im not, I have PCOS so it's really rare that I could ever get pregnant

Josie :
Im sorry to hear that, I had no idea. But honestly, between you and me, so do I. And it does happen
Josie :
Have you guys, you know, been safe?

Lily :
Of course, Im on the pill to ease the pcos pain at my period

Josie :
Ok, Im glad you seem to have it all ok, it must just be your injuries. But definitely get yourself checked out Lily!

Lily :
