(Martins POV)

"Do I look ok?" Lily asked, stepping out from her bedroom as beautiful as ever. I gazed my sight away from my phone as I sat comfortably on her sofa.
"You look incredible," I shook my head, smiling to myself. I was so lucky to call her my girlfriend. The moment I asked her to be mine, I knew I'd treasure her forever and every time I saw her, I felt so grateful it was me she had chosen to do so.
"Have you finished staring so we can go?" She smirked, blushing slightly as she walked towards me. I smiled, looking down at her as she used both of her hands to pull each side of my black jacket into her. A dominant side to Lily that I hadn't seen yet, but immediately made me feel warm inside.
"They're going to love you, princess," I whispered to her, placing a kiss on her head, the floral and coconut scent of her hair embracing my nostrils. I knew she'd been anxious all day about meeting my family, which was understandable seeing as we'd only been together a matter of weeks. But I knew they would adore her, not only because she was astounding and perfect. But also because they cherish my happiness, and with her in my life my happiness as at an all time high, and as Louis and watse tell me daily, that radiates through my whole personality now. Honestly, I'd been worried about getting into a nee relationship since my last one ended very publicly and tore me apart. But I knew things were different this time. I'd never felt like this, ever.

(Lily's POV)

"So lily, would you like some dessert?" Martins beautifully kind mother offered me with a genuine smile, interrupting the laughter as she approached the table with a plate of cakes and biscuits. I thanked her gratefully and gently took one of the biscuits.
"Did you bake these, Karin? They're beautiful," I asked Martijns mother on finishing my first bite.
"Im glad you think so, I got the ingredients from the market today," she smiled. I was amazed - this whole family was talented by the sounds of it.

The evening continued joyously for hours, until it was around midnight and I began to yawn.
"You ok, beautiful?" Martin whispered, resting his hand on my leg as we all sat on sofas around the coffee table with board games.
"I'm amazing," I smiled in response, placing a delicate kiss on his cheek, catching his families attention and causing them to gush.
"I'm glad you found eachother," Karin smiled as she sat on the floor at the corner of the table.
"I've never seen my boy so loved and happy," she stood up, walking towards us and stroking both of our heads gently.
"Yeah I don't know how he got you, lily. He's usually a grumpy old man and you're like a model," Laura giggled, preparing to run in anticipation for Martin to chase her. He shook his head, jumping up and after her straight away, until moments later he caught her and grabbed her, fireman's lifting her back into the living room and causing us all to laugh hysterically.
"Put me down idiot," she laughed, waving her legs around over his shoulder. I gripped my stomach, laughing until I couldn't breathe.

The clock hit 1am on my phone as I stepped through my front door, out of the winter night and into the warmth.
"Sleep well, lils. Text me when you wake up," Martin pulled me in for a final kiss as he waited on the doorstep to say goodnight.
"You know you could just stay, right?" I smirked, edging towards him.
"I wish I could my darling, I really do. But I have to be at the studio for 6 and trains don't run that early," he told me with a sigh. I sighed too, feeling my heart drop slightly. He made me feel so safe. But I knew I couldn't be reliant on someone else for my safety.
"Of course, yeah that's true. Message me when you get home anyway, please," I took his hands in mine, reciprocated his kiss, as I heard Louis' horn on the road infront of my house.
"Of course. Goodnight angel,"
