II. MYSTERIOUS FRESHMAN

Madison Argent spent her entire day studying her classmates. She observed which ones seemed okay, and which ones didn't. The overly judge mental girl decided that many of her peers were annoying, and she decided she'd much rather be with her junior friends instead.

There was one boy that seemed okay, Mason Hewitt. She and the boy were in a few classes together, but their seats were far away. Madison saw this as perfect opportunity to find the other boy she was looking for, Liam Dunbar.

He just happened to be in her first and last period, and to make it even better she sat next to him in both. It was like the Universe was finally cutting her some slack and making things a bit easier.

She had successful gone throughout her academic day without falling asleep or getting off task, and the Argent girl had decided some of her classes were actually worth attending.

After not-so-discreetly spying on Liam to see if he exhibited any werewolf traits the majority of her last period— not that he had any aside from seeming annoyed, she was pleasantly surprised when Kira and Malia were waiting outside of her classroom. They held excited grins as Malia played with the end of her braided hair.

"Hey, Madison!" Kira greeted happily, linking her arms with Argent while shooting her a grin. The witch returned the gesture, her pink lips curving upwards into a gentle smile.

"Hey guys, what're you doing here?" Madison asked, hoping she hadn't forgotten something important she was supposed to be doing.

"Stiles made us come get you to go watch the lacrosse team's practice. Something about seeing this new potential werewolf freshman, I'm not really sure." Malia said bluntly, and Madison quickly shushed her. Liam walked out of her class as Malia spoke, giving the three girls a weird look before turning the corner.

Madison visibly relaxed at Malia's honesty, knowing the were-coyote wouldn't lie to her. Before continuing down the hallway, Madison's eyes darted around the surrounding area to see if Lydia was with them.

It wasn't that she didn't like Kira or Malia- that wasn't the case at all. Madison simply missed hanging out with the strawberry blonde, remembering the times when Allison and Lydia would pick her up from school in their sophomore year and they'd hang out.

Upon realizing the Martin girl was not present, she carried on with walking alongside Kira and Malia outside of the school and towards the field. The three had gotten sidetracked as they stopped at Madison's locker to drop off her things, and when they had finished their conversation the hallways had been cleared of nearly all the students.
