Ivana tries to straighten Gavin's tie before they go in to the main hall of the cocktail party. They have managed to make it past the media swarm outside without too much attention being put on them. They took a few pictures together and she was asked who was getting promoted tonight. She wanted to slap the reporter's face when she asked her about Chace and Rylie but she managed to hold it together glad to have the change of subject be about herself she was asked about her date. Ivana mentioned Gavin's name too quickly before he could shut her up.

Although she acknowledged she is dating Gavin his disappearance and phone call for her to come pick him up at a shopping center is puzzling. He still hasn't explained to her why he was there and where his car is but she has bigger problems and her own secret he doesn't know about. She plans to get to Chace tonight and convince him to give her job back to her. How dare that bitch Marisol fire her by email?

As Ivana and Gavin enter the party each is looking around for different people. Gavin is glad to have Ivana excuse herself saying she is going to the ladies room. He just wanted her to get him here and inside. Now that he's achieved that he is headed discretely for the bar to get a strong drink then he's got to find Rylie and get her to tell him where Monique is so he can take care of the Senator's demands.

Marisol and Chace are near the presentation stage that's been set up to announce the new executive team for Braxton Holdings. Chace is going through the list of names of the candidates and doesn't see his father walking toward him. Marisol sees him first  stopping what she's doing to greet him.

"Mr. Braxton how are you sir? Do you plan to be on the stage when we announce the names?"

"No." He grumbles with a dismissive look his tone brooking no argument from her.

"Chace...." Richard calls. Chace raises his head hearing his dad mumble his name. Richard sees the scowl on his son's face he knows he isn't happy to see him.

"Marisol can you make sure the people on the list are in the room. When I call their names they can come up on the stage." Chace hands a copy of the list to Marisol, she takes a quick read through the names grins at him then excitedly kisses him on the cheek. "Thanks Marisol." Chace smiles at her.

"I'll find everybody on here." She winks at Chace walking past Mr. Braxton without saying anything. She's received similar treatment as Rylie when it comes to the Senior Mr. Braxton. She figures he doesn't see her standing there anyway so why bother.

"Chace we need to talk before you make those announcements." Richard Braxton says not even blinking Marisol's way to acknowledge her as she leaves the area.

"You have the most horrible timing dad. Do you have to be so disrespectful to Marisol? You're unbelievable she's the COO of this company and you treat her like she doesn't exist."

"Marisol isn't my choice you know that. I think she's doing a fine job but she's not who I want in this position. I'm not here about her anyway so there's no need to talk about it." Richard huffs.

"Would it kill you to tell her she's doing a good job even if she is a woman?" Chace sighs shaking his head at his father.
