CHAPTER 13

Dreamland

I can hear...the voice of a child

"MAMA!"
I can hear the voice getting louder as time goes by
"MAMA!"
I looked and looked. And saw nothing
"MAMA!"
Such a joyful child. A small being filled with energy...I felt a presence underneath me and far ahead of me, looking down from the distance

"Mama!"
A small child ran up to me. Surprisingly, the child had glowing hair which flowed gently to the breeze. She held her skirt while sprinting towards me

Is this Selene when she was still a child?

"Mama! Play with me!"
She held out her hand and grasped my finger as if it was her lifeline and gently pulled me with her. And then light overcame my sight. I opened them once again, to see myself in a room. I was in the corner but I could see a figure from afar and by instinct, walked towards the figure with curiousity

"Mother?"
I stopped my tracks, what?. I focused more on the appearance and once again was in shock, a grown up lady that has silky glowing locks like mine but still...I couldn't see her face, only her smile
"Are you proud of me, mother?"
She asked calmly as she twirled her glowing hair, I can feel an aura of an amused one. I didn't know what to say, I never met you so what should I say?
But my mouth says so otherwise. As if someone controlled my body, I automatically walked towards the lady but a bit closer than before and patted her head

"Yes I am. I am so proud of you...good job"
I can feel a smirk come across my face for no reason, my mind being darkened by something. Something...sinister. A feeling of accomplishment ran through me despite not knowing what I was proud for accomplishing for. Why did I say those words in the first place?

"...Thank you, mother. Now...I can finally have my happily ever after..."
