CHAPTER 20

"Now that you agree, our deal is set until it is fulfilled"
They gave their hand and Selene took it for a shake. She gave out a heavy sigh as she felt dizzy all of a sudden

'I really need to rest after all that's happening'

Selene is with Diana right now, having tea together...with Claude as well

Both women were pissed that the emperor joined. Why?
Because of his presence, they couldn't chatter freely

"Claude, why are you joining us again?"
Selene questioned Claude. He relaxed at his seat and took a brief look at his wife's pouting face...adorable

"Why can't I join? Would you rather have some alone time with Lady Diana than me, your husband?"
He sighed and continue to drink his tea even if he notices Selene that looks like she was going to go on a rampage. These damn hormones. Thankfully, Diana did everything she could to calm her down

"I told you to call me Selene, Diana. Not empress. We've been close for how many weeks already and you still refuse to call me by my first name?"

"B-but..the servants here says that it's inappropriate for me to call you–"

"I know because I'm the empress. But since I GAVE you permission multiple times. You can freely call me by my name. If anyone tells you that you can't and knows that I've given you permission...tell them to come to my office"
Both Diana and Claude shivered at the eerie tone Selene gave at the last sentence.. pregnant women are crazy and scary

"S-Selene..I actually want to introduce to you a good friend of mine. Her name is Lillian York"
Diana took both Selene's hand and her pink eyes glimmered at the name of her friend

Lillian York, the middle child of the Marquis?

"Well I would love to meet her Diana. Since you like her, I might like her as well"
And Selene swore she just came contact with the sun when Diana's aura glowed brighter like it at her response

"This is Lillian York, Selene"
Lilly bowed after her introduction

"It's an honor to meet you Empress–"

"Oh my! She looks lovely! No wonder Diana likes you!"
Selene is now in her motherly mood. It's making Lillian blush from the compliment

"T-thank you"
Diana giggled at how flustered Lily was when Selene complimented her

"Now let's continue our tea time, shall we?"

Selene is now 6 months pregnant..just 3 more months to go. Claude made sure that Selene had the absolute care and most comfortable life during her pregnancy

She can barely do any work without Claude or Felix scolding her to take a rest. But she understands why, the little princess is getting bigger inside her and she couldn't go any normal movements without at least staggering from the weight. This body is a bit weak

'I wonder..since IT'S gone from my body...whose body will it target next?'
Selene got a bit worried. She knows it doesn't disappear...it just finds a new host

That things that affected me...if they didn't tell me sooner, it would've messed up my mind to make me kill my lived ones...like Selene's family or Claude. She shook her head, she kept overthinking and she hates overthinking

"Let's just hope..that they have enough time to find a way to dispel it before it finds a new host-"

"Your Majesty"
Selene yelped at the voice. She was so deep in thought again for who knows how many times that she didn't notice the presence of a maid

"Yes? What is it?"

"I have received a letter for you, Empress...a letter from the Eclat Dukedom"

"NO! NO! PLEASE! THE EMPRESS ISN'T LIKE THAT!! SHE WILL NEVER TRY TO HURT ME! THE EMPRESS IS A PERSON WITH A GOLDEN HEART!"
She screamed at the top of her lungs, going down on her knees. She leaned forward, her head cams in contact with the floor as tears escaped her shimmering eyes

The voice inside her head groaned in annoyance, she is hard to manipulate unlike Marian

"If you won't obey me...then it looks like we're doing it the hard way"

But now that we have reached this part of the story...a few more chapters and this story will end...AND I GET TO FINALLY POST THE 2ND BOOK✨✨✨
