CHAPTER 15

"Sharon, dress me up"

"Yes, Your Majesty"

Selene woke up from her slumber that ended up being her little sister's vision

'Just what kind of powers are you hiding Selene?
She wasn't expected to receive such a blessing of divine vision, a blessing that make you able to see through one's point of view

'Selene...really is a blessed child'
She sighed, it's kinds annoying to have too many blessings

'Looks like I have to wait a week for Claude to come back, I wonder why I'm still feeling nervous every time I think of it?'
Selene went to he garden, where blue roses sprouted beautifully and red roses cling unto the walls...she felt serenity at the place as it remind her of a lovely memory that will forever have a place in her heart

"Travis...I wonder...if you've found someone..someone who replaced me. Someone who will open your heart to just like how I did"
She went down to memory lane

She remembers the first time she first kissed Travis...on a lavish lake that glowed in the moonlight, that was their first date. A week after their meeting, Travis asked her out on a date.

"I have always been taught that no one is bad person...that it's not their fault that they acted like villains. Everyone is born equally, but that changes when they were raised...some were raised with love, some were raised badly, and some were raised like tools. Our attitude and intelligence is what makes us different..."
But that time with the Duchess...I felt different. Like I wasn't on the right mind...like someone else took control of me

Selene blankly stared at her reflection and proceeded to reach her hand unto her belly, she was already a few months pregnant and her baby bump was showing already

"My little darling...when you grow up..."
She kept whispering sugar words to her unborn child, unaware of the presence of black magic just right outside her doorway

"Felix, give me the document Claude recently received"
Commanded by 'Empress' Selene, Felix in reflex, gave the document to her. She simply read the contents of the documents and her eyes narrowed at the situation

"Human Trafficking I see...it seems that one of the marquis of the aristrocatic faction is planning a rebellion...but why does it concerned human trafficking? Especially on kids?"

"Your Majesty–"

"I know what you are going to say Felix. Their using this method to distract us from their plan, it seemed like that now that Claude is away from the Empire and I'm the only one in charge, their plan will be taking place. It also seemed that they know that we are aware for their rebellion, hence why the situation is as it is now"

Selene had a train of thought if she is going to handle the situation or give it to a trustworthy noble, meanwhile, Felix was at awe

"Are you going to handle the situation, Your Majesty?"

"After some thinking...I'll let Duke Alpheus handle this. The fact that he has many connections and is close to the Marquis as well is a advantage for us"
She looked back at Felix only to notice him staring at her in astonishment

"Is there something wrong?"

"Ah! No! It's just that, you really trust Duke Alpheus"
He chuckled at the thought

"Of course I do trust him. I've known him for the longest time and I know that he will never betray me"
She calmly said with confidence. According to the real Selene's memories, Roger was one of the people she could fully trust and since she knows his rights and wrongs, his weakness, she knows that he trusts her as well

"It's settled. Duke Alpheus will be handling this..."
She took out a blank document and began scribbling it's contents

"I trust you Roger"

She added those words for a reason

The little girl ask. They sat at a beautiful garden where rare flowers sprouted and was grown with such care

The woman smiled softly as she caressed the little girl's pale face

"It's because Ana is special so she can't go out. But once you're older...when you finally meet him...that's when you can be free my little darling~"

She pecked her forehead in a loving manner as the little girl wrapped her tiny arms around the woman

Felix announced. This made Selene perk up from her office. She immediately tried to walk faster towards the entrance, ignoring Felix's cries to slow down

"Claude—"

"Selene..."
She slowed her tracks. Her eyes widening in disbelief...wha–

"Blessing and Glory upon the moon of the Obelian Empire...my name is Diana from Siodanna"
The blonde beauty in front of her bowed. Her pink eyes that shimmered brightly and her outfit...a dancer?

Her face was pale at the sight of the blonde...is Claude cheating on her? She would understand that she is a new concubine given by the King if it wasn't for her riding the same carriage as Claude...they were right...the warning they give me

"...the Emperor will be bringing a new concubine from Siodanna in a few weeks..."
So they really were saying the truth. The new source of that dreaded feeling she felt every time she thinks of Claude visiting Siodanna

Claude, who was aware of what Selene felt tried to explain
"Selene...this–"

"What is this Claude? Why did you bring another woman with you? And why did she get out the same carriage as you?"
Claude couldn't form words when he saw tears streaming down his wife's face

"Love..it's not what it looks like"

"Oh yes it is...I don't feel like seeing you.."
She ran out of the scene, her tears falling down endlessly

"Selene!"
