CHAPTER 22

Everything was going perfectly, Claude and Selene were finally having a baby girl that they will name Anastasia

Diana and Selene were getting along despite being the wife and mistress of the Emperor

The empire had been peaceful thanks to the hard work of the royals and their people. No wars, alot of support and alliances from different kingdoms. Everything was peaceful...perfect...

It would be a shame if something bad happens that will make everyone change..grief for...

Who knows?

But let me say this to you...everyone has their future set in stone...and her future will end based on her will

"Where is Diana?"

"She is currently at His Majesty's office, Empress"

'Eh? But Diana had never stayed in his office nonetheless even think about it'
Diana had been a person she never knew for a a few days already. Everytime they talk, Diana tries to avoid their time together and often stays at her room

'Something is very wrong, I can feel it...but what is it? Don't tell me..what they said it's true'

"In the future...the empress will-"

'N-no! It can't be! Diana will never do such outrageous things...but...what they said before about Diana's arrival was true as well. I..don't know what to believe anymore'

Her head was mushy all over and her overworking mind and body felt drained and tried

'I don't know what to do! I can't just tell Claude! Because if I tell him, he'll find out about them...and he might kill them..I don't want them to die. My emotions, problems and worries are all bottled up in a jar that uses its entire strength to keep it hidden..but the lid could only hold on for so long'
She never once had problems about things like this..even during her time as Isabelle

These unfamiliar emotions she felt made her anxious to the core and her body gets weaker from time to time...and so does her mind

"How is Selene?"
She can hear the voice of concern

"She's alright Your Majesty, she's just been overworking and her hormones are definitely doing their thing..it's normal for this to happen Your Majesty so fear not. And the child is healthy as well"
A doctor? Why is he examining her? Did she fall asleep for too long? Or were her actions that suspicious?

"Claude"
She can manage to speak in a croak voice, signaling her husband

"Selene, how are you feeling? Do you feel any discomfort?"
It was weird for him to show concern in the eyes of others, but when it was with Selene, they would understand. I mean, who wouldn't be concerned for their jewel once something's wrong?

"I-"

"Selene! Are you alright? I heard you were examined and stuff and thought you were injured!"
Diana came dashing to the room, her dull pink eyes held no concern whatsoever other than her words
