Name: Aoi Nohara / Haruno - meaning 'Holly Flower' 'Hollyhock' 'Althea' in Japanese and is a unisex name. 'Ao' is also a meaning for 'Green, Blue'. This links to his hair colour that isn't green or blue, but a mix between blue and pink making his hair light purple.

Background:

Aoi is the younger half brother of Haruno Sakura and the cousin of the late Rin Nohara, born from Rin's estranged Civillian sister who couldn't become a ninja, and Kazashi Haruno who had gotten drunk while celebrating Mebuki's pregnancy to the point that he ended up sleeping with a woman, not realising it wasn't his wife.  Afterwards, he confessed what happened to his wife and after some tension, they made up and agreed to pretend nothing happened. Things change however then the woman he slept with shows up a few months later, visibly pregnant, looking for him. The person she meets however is Mebuki, who is also pregnant at the time and the three need to discuss what they need to do now that things had changed. Niko Nohara, the woman he had slept with, had no idea he was a married man and wanted to forget anything had ever happened, however once she discovered she was pregnant, she decided to contact him to let him know, only to find out the truth of his marital status. The three agree that they want nothing to do with each other and weather Niko decides the keep the child or not would make no difference to them as they want no contact at all. They go their separate ways and eventually Sakura is born, followed by Aoi a few months later and grow up in the civillian quarter of Konohagakure with no contact with one another. They officially meet in the academy as they are in the same year, though they don't have the same social circles, they are kind to one another. Both are unaware of their relation to the other until Sakura overhears an argument between her parents where Aoi is brought up and she find out the truth, but blames him for the fights between her parents. Aoi asks his mother after being confronted by Sakura and finds out the truth but decides he doesn't really care since he bearly knows her, though wants her to be happy never the less. Sakura becomes cold towards Aoi and jelous because of how pretty his is for a boy, but otherwise the two rarely interact outside of Sakura's scathing remarks. Aoi decides to focus on his studies while at the academy instead of the drama as he wishes to help his mother Niko who is struggling as a single mother. He learns as much as he can and signes himself up for the Kunoichi Classes, despite his gender in the hopes of learning more. There, he befriends Hinata and the two become best friends. He takes an interest in healing after seeing training bruises on Hinata and starts to help around at the hospital as a runner, studying healing techniques in his own time. Since he had no official teacher, he had to come up with his own techniques. After the Uchiha Massacre, Aoi ends up helping Sasuke is subtle ways by luring away fangirls and later, helping to heal injuries after training. The two grow a silent respect for one another and foster an unconventional friendship between each other that isn't obvious other outsiders. When it eventually comes to the team placements, Aoi ends up taking up Sakura's place in team 7 as the one with the highest grades in the class, something he didn't have before but had been asked by Sasuke because he didn't want to be paired with a girl who would be all over him.

Niki was unaware of Kizashi being a married man after their one night stand and had been drunk herself, sad about his sisters death anniversary. The two slept together and she wanted to forget it every happened but found that she was pregnant a few months later. She went to find Kizashi but met Mebuki instead and found out that he was married. after explaining her situation, she Mebuki and Kizashi agreed to not contact one another and she would raise her child alone should she choose to keep it.
