Shadow Puppetry: Referring to Shikana's use of her clans Jutu as well as Kankuro with his puppet jutsu.

Name: Shikana Nara - 'Humanitarian, Healer, Intelligence' in Japanese.

Background:

Shikana is the eldest child of Shikaku Nara and elder sister of Shikamaru Nara. In true Nara fashion, she has a laid back demeaner and no motivation to take over the troublesome job of clan head, preferring to learn more about the clans medicinal techniques and shadow jutsu. Not being born in the same generation as the other Ino Shika Cho heirs either meant she wouldn't he placed on the same genin team as them, which she was completely fine with, content with stepping back to watch her younger brother bemoan as he is groomed as the heir in her placed. Despite not being the official heir, she is no less powerful because of this, a genious in her own right and fiercely protective of her family. She ends up taking an apprentice instead of joining a genin team while also working part time at the hospital learning medical ninjuitsu. She also develops her own Shadow Jutsu that is mixed with the clan jutsu and chakra strings that compliments her impeccable chakra controle. She ends up not attending the Chunin exams previously due to being away on missions at the time or training so her first attempt at the Chunin exams is with her brothers graduating class. While their, she meets Kankuro who underestimates her because of her laid back attitude, along with the rest of the Chunin hopefuls barring her younger brother who knows how scary she can be. She ace;s the written test as she already knows the answers and during the second exam, traumatises many fogrein shinobi who chose to target her and her team using her shadow puppet jutsu and basically recreates the scene from demon slayer withthe spider lady and the demon slayers. Kabuto chooses to stay as far away from her as possible and tracks down team 7, her other teammate disappearing into the woods and her eventually wandering into the sand siblings and is strong enough to completely evade all of Gaara's attacks but is too lazy to actually fight the group as she already has the scrolls she needs, not that she lets them know that. She finds the group, along with the sound ninja suspicious and after parting ways with the sand siblings, chooses to follow the sound shinobi and eventually runs into her brothers team as well as Naruto's and Neji's. They call a truce and she offers the locations of the team she is aware of.

Much to Shikamaru's dislike, Shikana always beats him in Shogi and never goes easy on him.

their is a running joke that Shikana is either lazier than Shikamaru or that they are in competition for the top spot of who can be the laziest and both may legitimately go along with this.

She is very protective of Shikamaru as the two are very close

She is very creative when it comes to using the clans Jutsu and combines it with the chakra strings she learns during her medic training. She manages to strengthen her chakra strings with her shadows and innate chakra controle and has more controle over her targets because of this as she can connect her shadows.

She uses this jutsu on a foreign genin team during the physical test in the Chunin exams within the forest of death where she takes controle of an entire squad and forces them to fight other squads against their will. Could have it so that it is the team she is controlling that runs into the sand siblings.

Could have it so that she can create unique shadow clones that are mixed with her clan technique. Making the hand shapes for animals like rabbit or dog or mouse, not hand signes but more like Megumi and can create said animals which she uses for reconnaissance and information gathering as she can see what they see if she so wishes. They either take on the form of ordinary shadow clones that look alike their counterparts, or could have them pitch black made of shadow.
