Name: Aiya Ookumo - meaning 'Beautiful Silk', 'Colourful' and 'Design' in Japanese. And her last name meaning 'Great', 'Large' and 'Insect', 'Spider' in Japanese.

Background:

Aiya Ookumo had been been born to a civillian family who once had ties with Shinobi but had lost that part of their lifestyle with the creation of the hidden villages and the first shinobi war. Aiya herself hadn't been interested in her families craft, though hadn't taken much interest in becoming a ninja either, content with being a kid and looking at flowers and insects. She had a kind heart and loved animals, especially insects such as spiders which she found endlessly interesting. She later cultivates a nest of spiders with the help of her own Chakra in the hopes of helping them survive after getting poisoned by a civillian looking to get rid of them. She ends up becoming a host to this colony of spider over a short amount of time and it becomes evident that the spiders are their to stay, something that she is fine with and is very protective of them as well. It is soon discovered of her new inhabitants by her parents who freak out at the thought of insects living in their daughter and take her to the civillian doctors to get rid of them before she runs away before they reach the clinic. She comes across a young Shino Aburame in a nearby park where she is hidding and he approaches her when he notices bugs crawling on her, intent to save the bugs before the strange girl notices and freaks out and possibly kills them. Instead of freaking out however, Shino is perplexed to see the girl become protective of the spiders and she only calms down when she sees his kikaichu crawl above his high collar. It wasn't long after this that the Shinobi council caught wind of Aiya's unique situation and it was decided that it would have been best if she were to be trained as a shinobi, especially after her family began to shun her for her changes. After a week or so of discussions, Aiya is placed in the care of one of the Aburame Clan, a tokubetsu jonin named Muta and was to be trained in insect jutsu that would be compatable for her spiders.

A civillian girl ends up becoming a host to a colony of spiders she kept as pets, catching the attention of the ninja council as a possibly asset to the village. Being placed in the care of Muta Aburame, she learns unique jutsu for her spiders and befriends the quiet aburame heir in her class.

OR

Aiya just wanted to look after her pet spiders, which somehow leads her on the fast track to ANBU and becoming a ward to one of the villages oldest noble clans.

Suggestions:

To make it more accurate, it may be better to have Muta or the Aburame Clan itself adopt her into he clan so she would have permission to learn the clan techniques, given it is very clan specific and I doubt any of the clans would take it well if they were told to teach some kid their secret jutsu just because she had potencial.

Muta is a Cannon member of the Aburame who is actually quite young, being 24 in Shippuden. He appears in a few canon events such as confronting Konan during Pein's assault, locating Anko and Sai during the five Kage summit, and discovering an army of white Zetsu during the 4th great shinobi war.

Unfortunately, in Cannon, he dies after being captured and controlled by Sasori and is then used as bait to attack the surprise attack division and is eventually killed in an explosion from Deidera during the ensuing conflict.

Her family had once been a shinobi clan since before the creating of the hidden villages, however after Konohagakure had been built and after the first shinobi war, then became more civillian and left their shinobi root behind. Because of this, and the civillian influence and their own personal history, they have become slightly prejudice towards active ninja.

On top of this, because of the nature of Aiya's changes when she became the host of the spiders she was caring for, when her family found out that the spiders would not be going, they looked at her with disgust and began to treat her poorly. This opened up the shinobi council to move Aiya to another home where she could get shinobi training.

Since the Aburame don't host spiders themselves, they would have to help her create her own jutsu that would work with her colony from the ground up.

Will likely have it so that the breed of Spiders Aiya hosts are distantly related to a spider summons, making them more inteligent and durable than normal spiders.

Aiya will likely end up specializing in information gathering, assassinations and trapping. some of which her adoptive father could easily help with. And for weapons, ninja/spider wire, poisons, Senbon and genjutsu.

For her jonin sensei, she would either be placed on a team of three OC's or be taken in as an apprentice under someone. Likely Genma, Shibi or possibly Anko. Could have it so her three man team doesn't pass the jonin test for various reasons, either due to her teammates unwillingness to work together or a fault on the trainers part. perhaps even manipulations from Danzo looking to place one of his own men as her trainer.

If Danzo succeeds in gaining controle of Aiya's education outside of the academy, l then we could have Torune placed as her instructor instead.

the the spiders Aiya hosts being distantly related to summoning spiders, or connected to them in some way, it is possibly the Aiya herself could get a contract with these siders. A contract that has not been in the possession of someone since before the hidden villages were created or perhaps sine the frist war from one of her relatives who passed away.

would be interesting to include the spiders as a family trait dating back to when her family were still ninja and perhaps be one of the reasons the family stopped being shinobi all together.

Love Interests?

- Torune Aburame ~ Could have it so that Aiya meets Torune before he is taken into ROOT, or Torune himself takes an interest in her while keeping an eye on Shino. Have Aiya discover Torune's identity/existance after he has joined ROOT thanks to her spiders/

- Sai ~ could have it so Sai is sent to spy on Aiya before Shippuden for some of his training as she is a person of interest to Danzo and similar to Torune, I can see Aiya uncovering Sai as a ROOT agent using her spiders and spider threads to have her a larger feild of awareness

- Kiba Inuzuka ~ Would make a lot more sense than the others given that she would eventually know Kiba though Shino after they become Genin, if they don't already know each other from the academy itself.

- Neji Hyuga ~ Similar to Kiba, Aiya could come to know Neji through Hinata either before or after they become Genin. They are both from branch families and had to teach themselves many of their jutsu to get stronger. both are serious though in their own ways.
