Name: Shinobu Kizuato / Yamanaka - meaning 'Enduring' in Japanese. Her last name is the Japanese word for 'Scar'. Also going by Shi for short which means 'Suffering' and 'Place of Death'. The Yamanaka comming from her fathers side which means 'One who lives' in Japanese.

Background:

Shinobu Kizuato is a leaf village ninja who was born in Kakashi's generation just before the start of the Third Great Shinobi War and happened to be the bastard child of a branch member of the Yamanaka clan with a civilian woman. Unaware of her link to the Yamanaka, Shinobu grew up with her single mother in Konoha on the brink of war before joining the ninja academy out of choice so she could earn enough money to support her mother. Thanks to her Yamanaka heritage, weather she or her mother were aware of this or not, she was very perceptive and intelligent enough to use this to her advantage. She wanted to earn enough money to support her mother comfortably so in order to do this, she aimed high. She planned to join ANBU as soon as she could and using her information gathering skills along with her unassuming looks, she was able to work out one of the academy tracks to get her in that direction and let her be noticed by the right people. She was able to meet the requirements in the academy to be recognised as an ANBU candidate and was brought into their ranks after 'failing' the academy. From then on, she trained for a year before becoming an infiltrator and saboteur specialist who would spend the majority of her time outside the village. She was very good at her job and become one of Konoha's main points of information, second only to Jiraiya the Sannin himself, and went wherever she was ordered to extract as much information she could in an area or about a specific target, even being able to infiltrate enemy hidden villages and relaying information back to Konoha. It goes to say, her job was very risky and their was a chance that if she were ever to be discovered, then she would be abandoned by Konoha so they could sever any involvement in the work she had been ordered to do in order to avoid the repercussions which could aggravate their rival villages. A suicide pill was always on hand because of this. With her young age and skill in chakra controle to hide her true abilities, Shinobu was very good at playing the starving orphan or the scared little village girl who's village had been attacked by enemy Ninja and needed a place to stay, she was the image of a weak little girl and used this to her advantage to get her targets to lower their guard so she could learn as much as she could. With her being the bastard child of the Yamanaka as well, she taught herself a bastardised version of their mind jutsu's which allowed her to hear the thoughts of an unblocked mind with ease without the other even realising since she didn't need to fully enter another's mind to do with like if she were to look through their memories. One day her luck runs out however and she is captured by enemy shinobi and tortured for information, her suicide pill being taken away before she could use it and restrained so that she couldn't try any more suicidal attempts. deciding to make the most of a bad situation, she uses her skills to try and find out as much information she can from her captures in the hopes that she can screw them over and send the information back to Konoha in some way. She manages to get word out about their movements and her location, deciding to stay were she is for now since her captors seem to want to use her for ransom to get back some of their own shinobi taken by Konoha. an Idea planted into their head by her herself, subtilty so they hadn't realised and extend her life. Eventually, she is saved by Ibiki and the Ino Shika Cho trio who had been sent to 'negotiate' her release and had instead, killed everyone there instead of a few they had taken as prisoners of war. She returns to the village and is taken out of active ANBU service due to her injuries and PTSD from her time in torture and is placed in T&I as well as under Shikaku as his assistant after taking over the Jonin Commander possition while in the village.
