Info: You have been at Miss Robichaux academy for 6 months and have slowly been falling for your teacher, Miss Goode.

Trigger warning: Sadness, numbness, degrading thoughts!!!

I woke up once again to my empty bed and frowned at the lack of touch I mourned. I recalled being upset yesterday and Miss Goode giving me a comforting hug. The hug was secure and warm, it made me feel alive after so long of the dreadful numbness that had inhabited my body. I threw the sheets to the side and sat at the end of my bed. My feet met the cold floor and sent a shiver up my calf's. I shuffled to the bathroom and turned on the shower. The water streaming down my body was the closest thing to warmth that I had felt since the hug yesterday. I wrapped my arms around my waist and couldn't help but sob as my mind had got the better of me. My thoughts about being 'worthless' and 'useless' overstimulated my mind and became all I could think about. I slid down the moist shower wall and curled into a ball while my tears wildly fell from my eyes. I sobbed loudly sat on the shower floor shaking even though I was warm.

I was pulled out of my usual shower-crying-session by light but consistent knocks at the bathroom door followed by a muffled voice. I couldn't understand who was talking and what they were saying but I didn't care, they had surely heard me crying. I twisted the shower handle and stepped out, roughly wrapping the towel around my dripping body. I wiped steam off the mirror to somehow attempt to look as neutral as possible. I took a deep breath before unlocking and opening the bathroom door, only to be greeted by Cordelia's concerned face. "Honey are you ok? Why are you crying?" Her hands instantly landed on my face and she cupped my wet cheeks. I couldn't hold in my emotions and began to cry even harder while she pulled me in for a hug. "Oh it's ok sweetie, You're ok. I'm here for you." She caressed my damp hair while shushing my uncontrollable sobs. We stayed like this for a moments until I began to breathe steadier and I restrained my weeping. "I'm sorry Miss Goode I- I just," She pulled me out of the hug with her hands going back to my cheeks while she looked deeply into my eyes. "I can't pretend that I'm ok anymore, it's too hard." I broke down while talking and she hugged me once again. "Sh sh, it's ok honey, I understand. You don't have to explain, 𝙄 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡. "

After hugging in comfortable silence for minutes, she pulled away and pressed her forehead on mine. We were now kneeling on the cold bathroom floor. "So, how would you feel about us having the day off together and just having the best day possible instead?" She looked in my eyes as if looking for the answer. "Oh god- no, yo- you don't have to do that Miss Goode." I smiled at her sheepishly. "(y/n) stop talking, we are doing it and I promise to make it a great day. And please, call me Cordelia when I'm not teaching you." She smiled at me and I couldn't resist her offer. She was the nicest person I'd ever met and looking into her brown eyes was enough to convince me to say yes. "Ok, thank you mi- I mean Cordelia." She smiled, barely laughing and helped me off the floor after she stood up herself. "Meet me in the kitchen when you're ready." She kissed me on my forehead and left the room. I stood there in shock while the heels of her boots faded down the hallway. I smiled to myself and rushed to pick an outfit.

I finished getting ready and went downstairs to meet Delia. She was in the kitchen leaning against the counter with a glass of water in her hand. She noticed me, smiled and poured the water down the sink. "Ready to go?" She asked me while smiling softly at me. "Yeah Cordelia, also where are we going?" She walked over to me and grabbed my hands. "It's a surprise." With that we trans mutated using Delia's powers and I realised we had arrived at my favourite restaurant. It was a cosy Italian restaurant that sat on the corner of a street in New Orleans. "Oh Cordelia, I love this place!" She smiled at me and we began to walk towards the building. "I know." Cordelia opened the door and motioned for me to enter first. I blushed and stepped in to be greeted by the smell of pizza and garlic bread and the sound of people talking at their tables.

We ate our food and talked for ages until the sun started to set. "You know, this has been so much fun Delia. We need to do this more often." Miss Goode held my hands on the table and looked intently into my eyes. "See, I told you it would be a good day." I blushed and felt so lost in her eyes. She flinched and cleared her throat after the prolonged eye contact. "I uh- I think it's time to go now, you ready?" She looked down at her bag as she pulled the money out of it. She looked back up at me as I opened my mouth to protest. "Hey, no. Before you even try to stop me, I'm paying whether you like it or not." I looked down at my feet feeling bad but also honoured that she was treating me so nicely. Delia asked for the bill and payed the waiter while also giving him a generous tip. She walked around the table and held my hand, helping me up. "I've called a ride so people don't get confused if we teleport." I nodded and we walked outside and waited until the car arrived.

"We have arrived." The albino man in a suit spoke in an empty voice. "Thank you, I'll call you when we are ready to leave." He nodded in response and Cordelia got out of the car and opened the door for me. "Thank you Delia." I smiled at her and she returned it. I looked out and was taken back by the magnificent view. We were on a cliff edge and could see the sun setting over New Orleans. A small bench sat near the edge and was the perfect place to sit and enjoy the view. "Oh my god Delia, This place- It's perfect." I was in a trance looking at the orange sun over the edge until I felt Cordelia take my hand and walk us over to the bench. We took our seats, still holding hands, and I placed my head on her shoulder. "I knew you would like it. I come here all the time when I'm feeling down and it helps me relax." We turned to face each other almost in unison and stared into each other's eyes. Delia's eyes darted to my lips and then back to my eyes. "Can I kiss you?" She whispered as our faces got closer. I didn't even answer and placed my lips on hers. The kiss was soft but passionate and made me feel for the first time in a long time. I broke the kiss and looked at her. We didn't say anything. We just sat there in comfortable silence as I placed my head back on her shoulder and she had our intertwined hands on her lap. We stayed like this until the sun finally set and I had never been happier.
