Info: Jessica survived the creatures outside with her sister, Mallory. You were living in your apartment until you ran out of food and went knocking at doors but received no answers, until you reached their house. You met Jessica there and things got serious pretty fast.

Trigger warnings: Death, slight smut, swearing, nightmares!!

That's when I opened my eyes.

I flung up in my bed in the dark room. My heart was racing and I felt my clothes stuck to my body from how much I had sweated. I breathed fast and looked around the room frantically, forgetting where I was for a moment. Out of nowhere, I felt arms around my waist and someone shushing me. I gasped and tried to pry the arms off of me, until the pale moonlight that came through a small gap in the newspaper-covered-windows illuminated her face. It was 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢. "Hey, It's ok. Don't worry, you're safe. I've got you." Her soft whispering calmed me down and my breathing began to slow down. I felt a mix of tears and sweat on my face, my vision was blurry from crying. I lifted my hands up and wiped the sweat off of my forehead with the back of my hand. Jessica moved her right hand and pulled a strand of hair behind my ear. "It was just another nightmare, but I've got you." She smiled at me sweetly and kissed my forehead for a moment. I relaxed my shoulders and swallowed. "J- Jessica-?" She carefully played with my hair and tilted her head. "Yeah? What is it?" She whispered with her perfect voice. "𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙚." Another tear rolled down my face and Jessica wiped it away with her thumb, her gentle hands now cupping my face. "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere." She smiled reassuringly and kissed my forehead again.

"C'mon, let's get some water." She stood up and reached her hands towards me. I took them and stood up, stumbling slightly but she caught me fast and chuckled. "Woah, are you ok?" God, her laugh was angelic. "Yeah, I'm ok." After I steadied myself, I let go of her hands and walked over to the small bag I brought with me when I first arrived here. "Hold on, I need to get changed. My clothes are stuck to my body." We laughed quietly and she sat on the end of our bed as I pulled my top over my head. "Maybe you don't need to clothes." I playfully hit her arm after I pulled the over-sized shirt over my head and helped her up. "Well that all depends if I feel better after I have a drink." She smirked and bit the inside of her cheek. "Now c'mon, I'm thirsty." I pleaded like a small child and she laughed at my immaturity. "Yes, yes. Let's go." We held hands as we walked down the stairs.

When we entered the kitchen, Jessica turned the lights on and instantly dimmed them due to the intensity. "Shit, that's bright." I spoke quietly and laughed, so did she. "Sorry sweetie." She walked over and pulled two glasses out of the cupboard before filling them with tap water. I walked around the kitchen island and sat at one of the middle stools. She turned to me and passed me a glass over the counter, leaning on the island on the other side. I took a big drink and put the now half empty glass down on the marble surface. "Wow, you weren't lying when you said you were thirsty." She chuckled and took a sip of her water, looking me in the eyes the whole time. "Well yeah, I like sweated half the water in my body." I mocked her and she walked around the island slowly in a intimidating way. She cocked her eyebrow and walked up to me, towering over me. "Are you being smart with me?" I straightened my posture and looked at her eyes deeply. "What if I am?" She pulled a fake offended face and began to unforgivable tickle me. "You'll regret it." She laughed as I scrambled to get away from her, laughing hysterically. "Ok, ok stop. I think I'm going to pee myself." I grabbed my stomach as I laughed uncontrollable. She chuckled and wrapped her arms around my waist. "Fine, I'll let you off. But don't back chat with me again or you'll pay for it." She made a serious face but talked in a joking way. I walked out of her grip, poured the water down the drain, put the glasses in the sink, walked up to her and grabbed her hand. "I like the sound of that." We smirked at each other as we made our way back up to our shared room.

She pushed me down on our double bed and mounted my waist. I squirmed under her until she pinned my wrists above my head and I remained still. She leaned down and began kissing me passionately. Her lips were plump and soft and they moved perfectly in rhythm with mine. I signed happily into the kiss and she stroked my hair with her hands. I moved my hands to her waist and then to her butt, squeezing it slightly. She moaned quietly into my mouth and it made me smile. Then she moved her tongue against my bottom lip and I opened my mouth, allowing her tongue to explore inside my mouth. Her tongue roamed my mouth and fought for dominance which she obviously got. After we made out, we pulled away to catch our breaths. Then Jessica laid down next to me and we turned to face each other. We laid there in the almost pitch black room, looking intently into each others eyes. "I love you." She whispered and I pouted as I felt my eyes get damp. "I love you." I answered back before kissing the tip of her nose. I turned around and she put her arm around my waist and pulled me in so we were spooning. "Have the sweetest dreams, my love. And if you have another nightmare, I'll be here to keep you safe." I smiled as a tears fell into the pillow. I closed my eyes and fell into a deep, nice sleep with Jessica by my side.
