I walked calmly down the hallway of the academy towards Delia's greenhouse. I knew she had to be in there as I hadn't seen her all day and I know she could be in her greenhouse for eons. As I approached the archway into Dee's greenhouse, I heard humming that sent the hairs on my arms to stand. 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘑𝘶𝘭𝘺, 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘨. I turned the corner and saw her. The beautiful Cordelia, her eyes closed as she sat with an opened book on her left and a small plant on her right. 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘭𝘭. I decided that I shouldn't distract her and break her connection, so instead I just watched her. How she took deathly slow breaths and her eyes moved behind it's lids. Suddenly, she took a deep breath in and lifted her hands. This caused the tiny stalk to rise and turn into a beautiful purple plant. Delia opened her eyes and lifted the pot, examining the purple flower with a concerned face, she almost looked worried.

*Knock knock* Delia's head shot to the right and her eyes met with mine. She closed her eyes, took a breath in and swallowed. She opened her eyes to look back at me. "Hi (y/n)." She hurriedly closed the book and stood to place it on the shelf. "Hi Dee, are you okay? You seem- off?" I walked up to her with a worried look in my eyes. Once I reached her, I held her hands and questioned her more. "Plus I haven't seen you all day, what have you been doing in here?" She looked scared. Her glassy eyes intently glared at me like I had two heads. I placed my hand on her cheek, to which she flinched, and I questioned her again. "Cordy what's wrong, you look terrified?" She gulped and blinked, before finally saying something. "I- I don't know what do." As she spoke, a tear fell from her eye. I rubbed it away while talking. "Hey it's okay, I'm sure we can talk about this." I put one arm around her waist while I escorted her to the chair she was previously sat at. She sat down and I kneeled down in front of her.

"So, do you wanna talk about this- problem?" She took a deep breath and looked into my eyes. All I could see was pain in hers. "I don't know because I don't want to worry you." She sniffed and wiped her nose with the back of her wrist. I put my hand on her clothed knee and smiled at her. "No, it's okay. I'm fine and I just want to help. So please, tell me what's going on with you?" I could tell she was fighting the tears back before she replied. "Okay fine. Something bad is coming, (y/n). I have been doing spells since 5:30 today after I had a bad dream, but it was worse than that. I think it was a prediction. And I don't like what I saw. It was so bad (y/n). All the spells I have done just prove that it is true." Finally, she broke down and hugged me tightly while sobbing onto my shoulder. I held her close, feeling all sorts of emotions, and just shushed her as it was the only thing I could think to do.

When her weeping had calmed slightly, I pulled out of the comforting hug and looked into her eyes. I tried to hide the worry in my eyes but definitely did a bad job. "So, what did you see Cordy?" I didn't know if I wanted to know what she saw but I was also curious. 𝘐𝘵 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘸𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘶𝘱𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩. "It was like- the Armageddon, (y/n). Everything and everyone was- gone. All that was left was- debris and- and dead bodies everywhere. It was the apocalypse, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙙." I looked at the ground, feeling like I couldn't breathe. I could hear Delia silently crying in the background. My mind was rushing, thoughts that were like a pounding heartbeat in my head. 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯? 𝘞𝘩𝘺? 𝘏𝘰𝘸?

"(y/n)? I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Delia, who has red eyes that has swelled. "Y- yeah. I'm- okay, I think. This is just a lot to process, that's all." I smiled reassuringly at her and wiped the tear from my eye. Her eyelids flickered as she looked down at me in hopelessness. "It's gonna be okay, you know that Dee?" Her lip quivered as she shook her head, seeming unsure. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘸𝘧𝘶𝘭. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘐 𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸. 𝘐𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘳. Then I remembered the plant. I turned and saw the beautiful violet flower. I stood up fully and found the book Delia was reading before. She raised her head and looked at the book, puzzled. "W- what are you doing?" She questioned me. "What page were you on?" I ignored her question. "57." She spoke, I could tell she knew what I was doing. I flipped to the page. It was a spell to grow flower and whatever the colour meant would be the prophecy of the person doing the spell. I used my left hand to hold the book and my right index finger to move threw all the colours. Then I reached purple. The cursive text next to the purple square read 'Death'. I looked up at Delia, mouth agape and eyes filling rapidly. All she could do was smile as more tears streamed down her face.
