When you got off the phone with her you struggled to find the relief you were expecting to feel. Running into your first love again, you were sure that you would be excited to end this fling with your best friend, but you just weren't.
As you walked to the door to tell him it was over, your phone buzzed again.
"Hello?"
"I'm an idiot." She whispered.
"Why?" You asked.
"I'm not fighting for you. I'm letting you walk away because of situations that occurred when we were teenagers." She sighed. "How could you have known that I was in love with you when I went so long without telling you?"
Your heart tried to jump out of your chest. "Is that what you're saying?" You whispered. "You're in love with me?"
She grew flustered. "No, what I am saying is don't go to Adrien. Come home to me."
With a smile on your face you nodded, though she couldn't see you. "I will and I love you Zoe." You laughed softly.
"Yeah whatever." She mumbled. "I tolerate you too."
"You know you love me."
