Chapter 18: ex-friends fight

We walked down towards the bridge to cross into Piltover or rather Caitlyn and Vi would and they were to warn the council of an incoming war that'll frighten them

Me and Vi had been talking in the back, together catching up really while our entire group was close with each other back then, I wasn't as close to Vi as I was everyone else being more for smarts and speed rather than strength and technique

Vi: so 'Izuku Midoriya' the great inventor do you mind telling me why?

I looked at her as she seemed curious like a child's curiosity begging them to ask, to know, to learn, something that just calls her no matter what they try to do

Me: well it was at a start simply an idea I had, I knew I needed to do something but I didn't really know what to do, with our.. scrappy leader gone, and powder presumed dead, along side you.. I thought Servika was dead until I heard rumours

She nodded understanding that she likely would've been the leader of the fire lights, of course branded with a different name and call signs and ran completely different, hell maybe even fight different too

Me: while Ekko was eager to get into the fight which according to him didn't happen soon enough as we lost many people, I wasn't so eager which seemed odd to most people.. especially since.. I'm shall I say built differently

She understood it at least made it appear she understood Ekko and I so far as we had been dumped over night with the duty to protect the underground since Vander, Powder, Vi, Mylo, and Claggor disappeared or died, and Silco did a right shit job of looking after us

Me: I eventually decided on becoming an inventor an inside job while also being capable of retaining peace as well as making connections like I know 2 councilmen, the creators of hextech and many more thanks to my inventions, then while also feeding the fire lights plans, info, tactics, connections, and on the list goes

I had been able to fill the pivital role given to me by the fire lights, being able to second only the leader as he took care most of the affairs which he had been lead into by me and my plans

Me: from the place I took I managed to stall both Piltover, the fire lights, other nations, the underground, councilmen, enforcers, rich people, and Silcos men from harming each other for as long as possible while I thought of a solution which cait now holds in her bag

Vi looked at me oddly as this was never heard of before, and not surprisingly no one had thought to talk first while Piltover didn't eradicate the underground, Silcos men, and fire lights is because they saw them to little a threat

The underground couldn't eliminate Silcos men, councilmen/women, Piltover, rich people, and enforcers is because they weren't able to create devices like Piltover did

It sounded like an impossible task to preform a solution which could put to peace everything enforcers, Piltover, zaunites, anything you could possibly think of

Me: I gave her a recording ready to be played at, remember though it should only be played at the worst possible moment otherwise.. it may fall out high means if you are about to be taken away from the councillor room it should be played, and try to contain a temper, a sense of professionalism, and common sense

She looked ahead and nodded

Vi: of course

I look at her this time and see she has a few questions she wishes to ask me this time

Me: go on, I'm all ears, this may be one of the last times we talk depending on how tonight goes

She looked at me relieved about it all seeing as she now had the opportunity she asked a few things starting with?

Vi: Ekko, how's he feel about all this

I nodded looking over at Ekko, he truly did learn to jump in when there's something wrong not to take some time, really look, and analyse it causing many a problem between us

Me: he's like a hare, too fast for his own good, like you back.. then.. but me and him we have our arguments but mostly because he's becoming irritated at his own people dying, all the while I push for time, and live the good life, which I don't blame him for

She continued walking we were slowly reaching the bridge seeing Piltover over a couple minutes away

Vi: what about.. jinx.. have you talked with her at all? What's she like..

I looked at vi trying to hold all the self loathing, regret, and sorrow within her but is failing like a bucket full of holes trying to keep water in it

Me: yes I've talked to her likely longer than you have though, I had been kidnapped by her not long ago which in turn led me to where you guys had talked to her, and now this conversation

I took a deep breath not really sure how I should describe her character or personality as it would hurt in any way shape or form

Me: best way to put it.. is.. she needs help.. true help.. the kind that only you or I could give.. however due to Caitlyn you can't give her that help

She looked at me confused on how that would affect anything, the only thing Caitlyn is there for is the gemstone after all, and maybe a little something more

Vi: what ever do you mean Izuku? I mean it shouldn't affect anything in the run

I shook my head letting myself feel that I may have lost brain cells to this

Me: think Jinx still loves you and doesn't 100% understand fully what that means and I've seen the way you and Caitlyn look, talk, and see each other as, not to mention you helping Caitlyn is after the hextech gemstone, meaning you could care about her but you could also not care about her, her perspective remember so don't blame me

She Tsk'd at me angry at what I said but not really arguing due to not knowing enough about it

Vi: you really are the peacemaker

That was before enforcers stopped us, the sherif being there, never did like him though, he seemed to always be  tense when looking at me

Marcus: Izuku? Your here.. and with..

I knew  he'd call them, and he shortly spied Caitlyn

Marcus: Kiramman! Where have you been why are you with him! I thought you were working for Jayce Talis

Ahh she had been fired due to the inducement I suppose, it's the only one that lines up with the times I suppose

Me: firstly right now she managed to return the hextech genstone through..

I looked at Ekko thinking about how we should describe him to Marcus

Me: a trusted source, I could trust the man with my life having spent most of my time away with him, we also found something the council should hear.. immediately

He looked at me and sighed before giving in.. he never did seem like much to the chain of command

That was before several explosions blew up and forced me to look at them seeing them and seeing the enforcers fall wasn't exactly comforting

Caitlyn had been shot as well, Vi carrying her as I stood still wanting to see where this goes when jinx came out from her hiding spot
