Chapter 19

"Did you do it?" asks. "Yes, it is done Foxy is in the hospital, and Mangle is all yours. " I respond. Is it possible that I misheard something? shifts his weight as if displeased"Something wrong?" I ask... "I'm fine, you did well."

(Mangle POV)

My alarm suddenly turns off without me touching it. I looked up and saw mom and dad standing there looking worried. "I don't want to go to school," I say, burying my head in my pillows. "You don't have to because the school had a gas leak and they canceled school for the day." My dad explains. "Then why are you guys standing in my room?" I'm getting irritated. "We're going to your grandparents for a few, and we want to know if you will be OK alone after what happened." My mom explains. I grumbled, wanting them to leave so I could sleep. "I think I can handle myself for a few days," I say, looking at them with closed eyes. "Ok, well call if you need anything. We are going to leave in a few minutes." "Dad," he says, still sounding slightly worried. "Can you guys just please get out?" I asked, a little loudly, having been pushed past my limit.I hear them shuffle and then hear the door close. I sigh and collapse onto my pillow, dozing off.

-a a few hours later-

I sit up and look at my clock. At 11:46am (pretty much when I wake up with no school), I sigh and get up. I shuffle around my bed into the bathroom across the hall to brush my teeth and shower. I then shuffled across the hall back into my room to get dressed. A few minutes later, I'm dressed up in black jeans and a red flannel hoodie. On my way downstairs, I feel my stomach growl. I step down the stairs and glance at the kitchen. I think, "I should probably grab some food on my way there."

-on the road

While at a red light, I felt my phone buzz. I pull it out and glance at it, seeing a calendar reminder for Foxy's birthday. "Happy birthday, Foxy," I say, silently trying not to think about that day. The light turns green and I continue on to my destination, but first I grab food.

I arrive at the hospital with a bag full of food in one hand and a drink in the other. I walk in and the receptionist recognizes me from my previous visit. You're here to see who was it? Foxy? I presume." I nod and they point out the way I need to go again in case I forgot. I wander the halls looking for Foxy's room until I finally arrive. I look up at the large door and sigh. I was about to open the door, but I suddenly heard voices from the other side. I presume it's just Dian and a nurse talking, so instead, I knock so as to not surprise them. "Come in!" I hear Dian yell from the other side. I open the door and step in, feeling a slight temperature difference since they keep the rooms cold. "Oh Mangle, welcome." I look at Dian and try to give her my best smile and then I look at the seat I sit in when I visit, only to see a girl sitting there. "Who are you?" I ask the stranger, who by now is looking at me. "I guess Foxy didn't tell you about his sister." Dian says. 'Foxy has a sister?' I wonder. "Who are you?" Foxy's sister asks. "Oh well, then he didn't tell you about her either." "Dian once again," I sigh, not really wanting to talk right now. "I'm Mangle Foxy's... girlfriend." I say pausing at the very end.Foy has a girlfriend now? Anyway, my name is April, and as you just heard, I'm Foxy's sister. " April explains. "Why are you surprised Foxy has a girlfriend? Also, where have you been this whole time? " I ask. "I've been in Sacramento going to college and I'm surprised because Foxy kind of became extremely distant from everyone after our father's death." April explains looking down. "Before this, after we got together, he reunited with all of his best friends and even tolerated some of my friends." I say. She smiled and was about to say something, but she was interrupted by Dian. "Mangle, you probably want to sit and eat, right? April, could you move? That's usually where Mangle sits. " She says "You don't have to," I say. "No, it's fine, I'll move to the couch." April says I nod and take a seat at the table next to me."How did you get Foxy out of his shell?" April suddenly asks. "I don't really know how, but after I found out about your dad, he seemed to start warming up to me slowly. Eventually, we became friends and reunited with Bonnie. Soon after that, he asked me out on a date, and now here we are. " I'll explain. April and Dian nod, and we sit in silence for a while, only hearing the sound of hospital equipment running. The peaceful silence is short-lived when April asks me a question that makes me choke on my food a little. "Are you really conflicted about this?"You were there when it happened, weren't you? " She asks. After recovering from choking, I slowly nod. "What happened that day?" She asks. I stay silent and look at the floor. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." She apologizes. "No, it's fine, I'll tell you." I say, she nods and I proceed. "That day, Foxy had called and wanted to hang out at the cafe we met at. When I got there, he told me if I wanted I could invite someone or he could invite Bonnie. We ended up inviting my best friend, Toy Chica, and Bonnie. After a bit at the cafe, we walked to the mall and shopped for a bit. On our way to our next destination, we found we were hungry and walked to Fazbears Family Pizza. There we met Freddy and Chica, who decided to tag along even after Foxy yelled at them about how they abandoned him. Foxy was angry about how Freddy and Chica were with us, but we continued to the park. On our way there, I spotted an armed figure running toward us in the distance. I got scared and said nothing until Foxy asked what was wrong. I was about to say something but the person was too fast, stabbing Foxy in the back and running away. Foxy fell to the ground, going unconscious. I fell to my knees next to him, crying, shaking him to wake him up, but to no avail. Bonnie showed up soon and held Foxy's wound so he wouldn't bleed out while I suddenly felt a warm liquid surrounding me. I looked down to see Foxy's blood pooling around me, causing me to not lose consciousness but blackout from the pure horror I felt. My next memory was the doctor stopping us at the door because he needed surgery. " And that's where the story ends. "If you couldn't tell, I don't sleep very well anymore. I get nightmares reliving that same moment when I saw his blood pooled around me and him flat on the ground. " I say. I just can't help but think that it's my fault that he is here since I saw the person running but just said nothing. If I said something, he might not be here. " I say choking up. Dead silence fills the air as both April and Dian realize how hard that day really was. "I apologize, Mangle."I didn't realize this. Dian says. I shake my head, telling her it's fine. "It wasn't your fault, Mangle. You were scared and there was nothing you could do." She goes silent at the last part and looks at Foxy.
