The elevator door opened revealing a table with candles on it. It was also surrounded by rose gold rose petals and pink balloons. I followed Melo to the table. He pulled out a chair as I sat at the table looking at a very smiley Melo.
"You said this wasn't a date" I said making his smile fade away
"It's not"
"Well it looks like i -"
"Dude can you chill I was just trying to do something nice for you"
The elevator door opened and out walked a beautiful brownskin woman who I assumed was our waitress.
"Hello my name is Dani an I will be your waitress for today. Can I start you guys with any drinks"
"I'll have a lemonade" Melo said
"Ok and for u" she turned to me
"I'll have a strawberry lemonade"
"Ok I'll be right back with your drinks" she said walking back to the elevator
Melo started laughing out of no where
"What"
"You copied me but added a twist to it"
"So"
"You don't even drink lemonade"
"It's ok to try something knew sometimes"
"Be original"
"Boy fuck you"
"Haha you wish" he said jokingly
I almost forgot how nice it was to talk to him. The past 4 1/2 months that we spent apart really meant nothing right now. I felt so comfortable with him that the thought of how long we've been apart disappeared.
"You know I've been thinking about you"
"Really" I said shocked
"Yeah why wouldn't I"
"I mean you got into a new relationship two weeks after we broke up"
"Yeah I'm sorry for that. You really didn't deserve that"
"Well since we're apologizing I'm sorry too"
"What you gotta be sorry for" he said with a confused expression
"For not telling you I was pregnant sooner. I could've texted you at least 3 days after I found out not a little over a month"
He opened his mouth to speak but before any words can come out the elevator door opened once again catching our attention.
"Here is your lemonade" she said handing Melo his
"And here is your strawberry lemonade" she said handing me mine
"Are y'all ready to order or do you need a few minutes"
"Yeah we're ready. I'll have a lobster" Melo said
"Ok and for you" she said turning to me once again
"I'll have steak"
"Ok how would you like your steak"
"Well done plz"
"Ok and what two sides"
"Mashed potatoes and rice"
"Alright I'll be back with your orders in a little bit"
"Ok thank you" I said
"You and this steak" Melo laughed
"You know I love me some steak"
"Yeah I do. Everything is steak, steak, steak"
"Whatever" I said sipping my lemonade
"Thx for coming out here with me"
"Ofc ofc ofc"
"So what are we gonna do with this baby"
"Idk Melo maybe co parent"
"Yeah that could work"
"It's the best and only option we really have"
"True true"
- Time skip 1 hour -
Melo pulled up in the parking lot outside my complex.
"Thanks for tonight, I really enjoyed it" I said opening the car door
"No kiss"
"Where"
"On my lips" he said
"Boy I don't know where your lips been"
"On the cheek at least"
I rolled my eyes then leaned over and planted a kiss on his cheek then hopped out
"Happy now nigga"
"Yeah" he said cheesing mad hard
"Stop smiling mad hard before you pop something in your face"
"Damn that how it is"
"Yup that's exactly how it is"
I turned and looked at him one more time
"Bye Melo"
I then turned back around and walked towards the entrance
