(Authors note: The reason why I shortened the years for the Spartan program is because I don't want Chief to be too old to date Tali in my story. So rather than him being 49, he's 29 in a few chapters. So keep an eye out for Chief's birthday. Also, I'm assuming ONI would reveal more about the Chief when he was under for the few years, so don't get upset if you don't understand why private files of the Chief is brought up. Finally, in this chapter, an old ally will appear, who could it be? Let's find out.)

06:00 Hours, February 27th, 2683
SSV Normandy
Knossos System, Artemis Tau Cluster
Master Chief's eyes snapped open.
"Time."
"06:00." Cortana announced.
"How long until we reach Therum?" He pressed, knowing today would be the day.
"I'd say about two or three more hours." The A.I. reported.
The Master Chief smiled. It was game time.
In the Garage...
Joe was getting done with his training with the others about Spartan Tactics. Knowing they are near to Therum. This is the best he can do for Ashley, Fives, Echo, and especially Tali.
"Well done cadets. You survived my training for the mission, and with this, you should be able to keep up with the Chief for at least this mission." Joe said with a smirking tone. He then gave the sign for them that they were dismissed.
They all nodded at him and went their separate ways. Feeling exhausted and wanting to relax a bit before arriving to the planet.
Tali stayed behind to talk to the SPARTAN-IV. "So... am I ready?"
He nodded at her. "You're all set. I'll talk to the Chief when we enter the planet's surface."
She was happy to hear that, with a sense of relief. She was grateful for his help and will try her best to prove to The Chief that she can help.
1 hour later...
After a quick breakfast, the Master Chief ordered Kaidan Alenko, Ashley Williams, Fives, Echo, Garrus Vakarian, Joe Todoroki, and Urdnot Wrex to meet him in the garage on Deck 3. They still had a couple of hours before making landfall on Therum, which left the Chief with just enough time to prepare his team properly.
When he arrived in the Garage, Joe walked up to him to discuss an important matter.
"Chief, I think we should bring Tali with us." Joe replied. "I gave her the military training she needed for the mission, and she is willing to continue on for future missions."
Chief took a moment to think about this. "Alright. But she is your responsibility for the mission. Call her up here and we can get started on the procedure of the mission."
"Yes sir."
Joe then got Tali out of engineering, getting her on board on the details since she can join. The two then join Chief and the others for the mission prep and equipment check.
Another hour passed...
The first thing they had to do was arrange the squad communications network, something the techies were able to help with.
