Seven years... Seven years since the Master Chief saved the entire Galaxy. After the whole incident on the Ark, Master Chief and his AI, Cortana, has been adrift in space on the half part of "Forward...
(Author's note: Before we get down the line, I will not touch on A.I. rampancy yet. So Cortana is fine for now. Also, I changed up the years a bit so that timeline it isn't messed up in this universe. But if you notice anything, let me know. Other than that, enjoy the chapter.)

During the years after the Human-Covenant war, Humanity has been expanding a bit. UNSC is no longer the name for the human military, it is now called the Alliance.In 2556, during an exploration on a Halo Ring, scientists discovered coordinates of an ancient device that the Forerunners discovered millions of years ago.
After that, humanity discovered one of the new artifacts in the galaxy. They called it the Mass Effect Relays. But shortly after, they discovered new groups of life, some of those groups did not agree with Humanity. Shortly after, a first contact war began. Luckly, it wasn't as big as the Human-Covenant war. Only lasted a few months, thanks to the council. Leaders of solving galaxy problems.
Four years later, the alien races from the covenant converted and joined the council group, and the SPARTAN-IV program began for the Alliance. Meanwhile, Alliance ship known as "The Normandy", lead by Captain Anderson, is on an exploration to check on any problems. They then pick up a signal from an old UNSC ship.
08:32 Hours, February 16th, 2560 Undisclosed Location in the Ismar Frontier
As the Normandy is flying by, Pilot Jeff "Joker" Moreau revives a message. But he can't tell what it is. "Captain, I'm receiving a message, but it looks old." Captain David Anderson then walks up to the bridge to hear the message.

"Play it Joker." Andersonordered.
"Mayday, mayday mayday. This is UNSC FFG-201 Forward Unto Dawn requesting immediate evac. Survivors aboard. Prioritization code Victor zero five dash three dash Sierra one one seven..."
As the message ended, Anderson was in shock at what he heard. He hasn't heard the numbers in years. Does the Master Chief still live? "Joker, set a course to that beacon, Asap. I need to see this for myself."
Joker was confused about what was happening, but he won't question the Captain's orders. "Yes sir." He punches in the coordinates and the ship takes off to the source.
