Cappuccino with oat milk

"I will see you tomorrow gorgeous". Maya leaned in and kissed Carina's cheek before opening the door. "See you tomorrow bella" Carina responded with a smile.

The next morning Maya's alarm went off at 6am. She got up, changed into her workout clothes and went on a run. Half an hour later she got home, showered and drank the smoothie she made for breakfast. Looking in her wardrobe, she wondered what to wear today, which made her wonder what Carina would be wearing. She looks hot in everything Maya thought. She quickly decided on a lowcut black shirt, and dark blue wash jeans. She slipped on her black boots at the door and left her house. It was only 7:15am, but she wanted to get to the office before Carina. She knew that she had more than excepted her apology, but she wanted her to know how much Carina meant to her. She stopped off at an Italian coffee shop on the way, picking up an americano for her, and a cappuccino with oat milk and a cornetto for Carina. The previous night Carina had told Maya her perfect morning started with a cappuccino and a cornetto, which was a sweet pastry sold in every bakery back in Italy.

"Cappuccino with oat milk and an americano for Maya" the young lady shouted behind the counter. "Hey thanks..." Maya paused, "this might sound crazy, but have we met before?" Maya giggled. "No, I don't think so, but I'm Jo". "Maya, nice to meet you" She said, shaking the barista's hand. Maya took a sip of her coffee, "wow hmm this is so good" she said licking her lips. "Well, you'll have to come back for another sometime, see you soon" Jo offered a friendly smile before walking over to the next customer.

Maya arrived at 7:50am, with just enough time to sneak into Carina's office with the coffee. She offered Vic on reception a friendly smile and sped off down the hall. She slowly opened the door, just in case Carina had made it in early, although she was almost certain she hadn't since her car was not in the car park yet. She placed the breakfast her desk and left. There was no need to leave a note, Carina would know who they were from, well at least Maya hoped she would. Maya met up with her team and headed to the main meeting room ready for their first official meeting with the company. They sat down and shared light conversation around the table. Every time the door opened Maya looked to see if it was the brunette. Unfortunately for her, there had been at least seven people who had entered individually and none of them were who she was looking for. Maybe she is sick and isn't coming in today Maya thought. Oh god I hope she's coming in.

At last, the door opened once again, "I am terribly sorry I am late, car trouble." Carina said, glancing at maya and giving her an ironic smile. Last night after Carina offered Maya a ride, she called the emergency repair for her car, and they managed to pick it up, fix it and deliver it back to her house, perks of owning a very very expensive car one would presume. She walked to the front and sat next to her other colleagues, who were all busy chatting to everyone in the room. In fact, the only people not involved in the conversation were the two women, who felt like time stopped as they looked at each other. Carina mouthed a thank you to Maya and brought her cappuccino to her lips.

The meeting was two hours in, and people started to get a bit restless. Anthony, one of the CEOs suggested a ten-minute break which everyone gladly accepted. Maya got up straight away and left the room. This left Carina a little curious as to where she had gone. She decided to get up and leave too and saw her enter the bathroom. Maya had her back to the door when Carina entered so Carina leant into her, placing her hand on Maya's hip and said, "hello stranger". Maya turned around and immediately in attempt to hide her flushed cheeks, she pulled Carina in for a hug, arms around her neck. Carina's arms automatically fell to Maya's waist. "Thank you again for the coffee and pastry bella, it was wonderful." Carina almost whispered at the side of Maya's head. "You're more than welcome, when I thought about stopping for a coffee on the way I immediately thought of you". "Is this your way of telling me you thought about me when you woke up this morning" Carina said with a cocky smile on her face, now facing Maya's but both women not moving their arms away. "Oh, please no, I woke up and thought about running. And in fact, I did just that". "Oh, so you thought about me when you were all hot and sweaty, I get it" Carina said, her smile getting even more cocky if that was possible. "I think we better go back" Maya said. "If you insist" Carina sighed, kissing Maya on the cheek before moving. Maya was the first to head out, but just before she opened the door Carina slapped Maya's bum. Maya turned round with a surprised look on her face raising her eyebrows as Carina brushed past her and whispered, "I think we better go back".
