"All of this... it's down to you baby... I am a better person because of you... a happier person... the whole reason I have been nominated is because I wrote a song about you taking me on a date. You're amazing Carina, and I love you".

"Baby we're going to be late" Maya shouted from the kitchen.

Carina came running into the kitchen, "I'm coming, I'm coming". They had a meeting this morning with the label which they needed to leave 5 minutes ago for. "I'll drive fast it'll be fine".

They rushed to the car and got in, Maya letting out a yawn as Carina started driving. After the news of Maya's nomination last Friday, the couple practically stayed up all weekend and celebrated the best way they know how. Naked and drinking shots of espresso in between to keep them awake. They were both exhausted and desperately needed sleep.

"So, you're in the office all day yes?" Carina asked as she glanced to Maya.

"Yes, I have the meeting with you this morning, and then another before lunch and then a long one after that with my managers".

"Will you have time for lunch?".

"Yes, I have an hour break at 1" Maya nodded.

"Do you want to go out for food?".

"Are you asking me out on a date Miss Deluca?" Maya teased, making Carina blush, "wow, are you blushing?" she bit her lip.

"Stop" Carina laughed. They pulled up in the car park, Carina parking in her usual spot. They both got out and rounded the car to get their bags out of the boot.

"Yes, I would like lunch with you baby" Maya smiled at her.

"Good" Carina winked, "now give me a kiss before we go in". Maya smiled and leant into Carina, holding her waist with her hand. Their lips slowly danced together until Carina pulled away, "I love you".

"I love you the most" Maya said, pecking her once more before they made their way into the building.

"Ah there she is!" Anthony shouted as the couple entered the meeting room, "congratulations". Everyone cheered and applauded Maya.

"Thank you everyone" she smiled. Everyone sat down and people were making quiet conversation.

Maya's assistant sat next to her, "hey I have been asked to ask you if you would be with someone at the Grammys or if you were going alone?".

"I'll be alone" Maya said without a second thought. Maya had her back turned to the front of the room and Carina. As soon as she answered, her assistant glanced up at Carina, who was already looking at them and gave her a confused look as she just heard what Maya said.

"Aren't you going to the Grammys with Maya?" Anthony whispered to Carina.

"Apparently not no" Carina said annoyed, "she has been saying all weekend how her success is down to me and I make her a better person and stuff like that, I guess that's all just bullshit".

"I'm sure that isn't the case, just talk to her" he replied before starting the meeting.

The meeting lasted just over an hour, without any sneaky glances between Maya and Carina like they normally would. Maya kept looking at Carina and she was either not looking, or when she was and they made eye contact, she immediately looked away.

The meeting finished and Carina gathered her stuff, walking to her office. Maya walked in after her. "Don't shut the door, I'm just leaving" Carina said, not looking up from her laptop.

"Is everything okay?" Maya asked a little concerned.

"Yes, everything is fine" Carina dismissed as she walked towards the door.
