The first of many together

"you're the one for me, Carina. It might be too soon, but I am certain of it. There is no one else, and there never will be. It's you, Carina Deluca, and it always will be".

Carina's eyes were now filled with tears, "I want to be by your side forever bambina. Nothing more, nothing less".

They gently kissed each-other and Carina held onto the blonde's hand, "let's get going".

Carina led her out to a black limo waiting for them. "Oh, the surprises keep coming!" Maya said impressed.

They entered the car, sitting incredibly close to one another. Maya looked deeply into Carina's eyes, more than ready to say those three special words. Fuck it she thought.

"Carina..." she said every so quietly.

"Ladies I forgot to say, there is champagne open there for you" the driver interrupted.

Carina nodded and poured two glasses, "you were saying bambina".

"Oh nothing, I was just going to say thank you".

Carina pecked her lips, "I should be thanking you, bambina. You make me so incredibly happy this is the least I could do".

Maya decided it should be in a planned romantic setting for her to say I love you, so she made a mental note to start planning tomorrow.

A little while later they arrived. Carina began to get nervous, but not for the reason Maya thought. "Don't be nervous baby, I will love whatever you have done". Carina smiled and stepped out of the car, holding her hand out for her girlfriend.

She was actually nervous because Maya's family was in there, and she was about to meet them. Her mum, dad and sister Jessica would be there, as well as some of her aunties, uncles and cousins.

Carina led her inside, and just before they opened the door, the blonde pulled Carina in for a gentle kiss, not smudging her lipstick.

They walked into the room, Carina letting Maya go first. Everyone shouted surprise at once as Maya looked around in excitement. There were way more people there than she expected, "how did you know to invite all these people you have never even met baby?" Maya asked shocked. "I take note of everything you say bella" she smiled. Maya hugged her, only pulling away when she heard a familiar voice speak behind her, "hello pumpkin".

Maya spun round quick, "mom!". She took her into her embrace, pulling away to hug her dad, and then her sister. "Jess hi omg! I can't believe you're here". She turned to Carina, "you did this?". Carina smiled and nodded.

"So, are we going to get an introduction or?" her sister asked.

"Oh, right yes, sorry. Mum, Dad, Jess, this is Carina. My girlfriend". Carina took Maya's hand in hers for comfort. They obviously knew who Carina was since she had previously contacted them but was still unsure how they would react. To Maya's surprise, her mum and dad were more than welcoming to Carina. They hugged her and said it was nice to finally meet her, the reaction seeming genuine.

"We are going to get drinks, but we will be back honey" her dad said. The three walked off, leaving the two love birds. "I cannot believe how cool they're acting with us". Carina smiled, "well... I may have had a long talk with them over the phone when I invited them". Maya's eyes widened, "oh god what did you say?". "Nothing bad I promise, but I have a feeling I altered their opinion a little". "You are perfect" Maya confirmed, kissing her once again.

"Well, hello there my two favourite sex crazed humans!" Andy shouted, approaching the two. Maya laughed, "hello to you too". Maya hugged all of her friends, talking to them all.
