"You are the love of my life Carina Deluca. Don't you forget it" Maya shouted to her?
"Never" Carina shouted back as she blew a kiss to her girl, Maya catching it and putting it in her back pocket before walking onto the plane.
WEEK ONE
Maya had left for tour four days ago and Carina was already struggling. The first night alone was horrendous for her, she cried the whole night, clutching onto the teddy that Maya had given her. She tried her hardest to distract herself with work but as soon as she got home to the empty house, she was lonely. Her friends had tried to help her but all she wanted was a cuddle from Maya.
Phone calls haven't been as frequent as the Italian expected either. Even the night-time calls were not as long as anticipated as Maya was already exhausted.
Maya was missing her girl too, and every time she received a text or call off her, it made her miss her more. However, it seemed like Maya didn't have as much spare time to get too upset as she was working none stop and then sleeping as soon as her head hit the pillow at night.
Even though their schedules are not matching up like they expected, they still found time to sneak a phone call or a text whenever they could. Even just to tell each other they love each other.
It was currently Friday, and Carina was moping around in her office. She missed the sneaky kisses before and after meetings with Maya more than ever when she was at work. She laid her head on her desk, feeling exhausted from being in a low mood and crying all the time.
She heard a knock on the door, groaning and wondering who it might be since she didn't have a meeting scheduled for another 20 minutes. "Come in" she shouted.
"Well hello to you" Teddy smiled.
"Oh, it's you" Carina half smiled.
"Should I be offended by that?".
"Sorry... I'm glad it is you, I'm really not in the mood for work stuff right now" Carina rubbed her head.
"That's what I've come to see you about. I was going to ask what you're doing later but since your lover is away, I know you're free. So... me, you and Amelia out tonight for drinks. I won't take no for an answer" Teddy instructed.
"I can't" Carina moaned, "I appreciate the offer but I'm not in the mood to be happy and dance tonight".
"Why don't you come for one drink and if you're still not feeling it you can go home" Teddy suggested. Carina pulled a face. "Okay fine, I didn't want to do this, but I will since you won't budge. I'm ringing Maya to tell her how miserable you are so she will force you to come out tonight" Teddy picked up her phone.
"Okay... okay I'll come!" Carina shouted.
"That's my girl" Teddy smiled.
Carina sighed and put her head in her hands, "ugh don't say that... Maya says that to me" she pouted.
"Okay sorry... 8pm tonight... LA 21. Don't be late Deluca" Teddy nodded as she headed for the door. She opened it, revealing Giana on the other side.
"Oh sorry... I'm a little early" she smiled.
Carina didn't say anything but stood up from her desk, so Teddy spoke up, "Hi I'm Teddy Altman, I don't think we have met?" she stuck her hand out and Giana gladly shook it.
"Hi, I'm Giana Rossi, a new artist. I've just come for my meeting with Carina" she said to Teddy, briefly glancing at Carina and flashing a smile.
"Oh... I see" Teddy said, looking at Carina, "I will leave you guys too it".
