Y/n had been the babysitter of Tammy's children since she was a teenager and even if she was now a full grown woman with a job, when Tammy asked her to babysit her children, it was always a pleasure. Y/n loved kids and Logan and Zoey were just the best. She was now a part of the family and the kids always had a great time when she babysat them. They were not the only ones who enjoyed Y/n's company; Tammy and the babysitter had a great friendship and she always loved to have Y/n around.

One night, when the kids were asleep, Y/n was lying on the couch, her eyes closing by themselves. Tammy had never been so late before, Y/n was wondering if she had to worry. It was ten past midnight when Y/n heard the front door open. She got up in a hurry when she heard Tammy fall on the floor. Y/n helped her friend to get up and it's only then that she realized that Tammy was drunk, like really drunk. Y/n sat her on the couch and she took Tammy's high heels off for her. The babysitter went into the kitchen to fill a glass of water for her friend.

When Y/n went back to the living room, she saw Tammy cry so she squatted down, put the glass on a small table and put her hands on Tammy's laps.

"What's wrong?" Y/n's voice was full of worry, she had never seen her friend like that. "Tam, tell me."

"I don't know." Tammy shrugged her shoulders and her quiet sobs turned into cute laughs. Y/n sighed with a smile on her face.

"You're so drunk. It's unusual, you don't drink." Y/n said the last sentence to herself, but Tammy heard her.

"I know..." The older woman rested her head on the back of the couch. "I love unicorns, don't you?"

"Tam, you don't love unicorns."

"Oh, right.."

"Did you take drugs too or..?"

"I did not!"

"Get up, we'll get you to bed." Y/n helped Tammy to walk and she almost tumbled in the stairs, but her friend was there to support her.

Once in the bedroom, Y/n searched in Tammy's dresser for a pyjama and she asked her if she had a preference. Hearing no answer from Tammy, the young woman, turned around to see that her friend had took her shirt and pants off, letting her only in her underwear. She was about to take them off too when Y/n stopped her. What was happening to her friend, she never acted liked that! Y/n wanted to know the real reason behind all this, why her friend had suddenly started to drink. Tammy couldn't support alcohol, that, Y/n was clearly seeing it.

The young woman handed a random pyjama to her friend and she told her to put it on. Tammy did and after, Y/n put her to bed. She caressed Tammy's blond hair and when she thought she was asleep, Y/n stopped and started to walk away. Tammy, who wasn't asleep, extended her hand out of bed and she grabbed Y/n's thigh. She didn't want her to leave yet, she wasn't feeling well, but she didn't know how to say it. Tammy was feeling a big pain in her heart and she knew that if Y/n left, it would only grow bigger.

"Don't leave.. stay with me... please.." Tammy gave Y/n the most adorable puppy look she could and the young woman couldn't resist.

"Fine. Can you make room for me please?" Tammy, who was taking all the bad, rolled on the side and Y/n lied next to her.

She knew her friend wasn't feeling so well, but she thought it was only because of the alcohol. But the way she talked to her, asking her to stay wasn't on her usual tone. Tammy seemed desperate, Y/n couldn't say why though. She stroked Tammy's blond curls singing her a lullaby. Tammy said that she wasn't a child what her friend answered that tonight, she looked like one. They both chuckled before Y/n continued to sing. A few seconds later, she noticed that the older woman was shaking, like if she was.. crying.

"Tam..?" The woman in question didn't answer. "Tam, why are you crying?" This time, Tammy didn't laugh, she was really crying and she couldn't stop. She managed to calm down before she spoke.

"I'll never be happy Y/n, never.." "But you have Logan and Zoey, why are you saying that?"

"I saw them - they looked so happy - and I realized that I could never have time." Tammy was clearly somewhere else in her head.

"Sorry, I'm not following you, who did you see and what were they doing?" Y/n tried to follow up, but with her drunk friend it was hard.

"This couple.. they were just sitting on a bench, but I could see all the love they had for each other... And it made me realize that with my children and my job, I don't have time to be in love. I'd have to find someone, spend a lot of time with them and if they're not the right one, I would have waisted all this time for nothing..." Tammy let out everything she had on her heart in a way Y/n could understand.

Tammy and her husband broke up a few months ago and Y/n noticed that her friend was a little bit more down than usual, but she didn't think it was that bad.

"Oh Tam, don't think like that, I'm sure you'll find the right person soon." Y/n said soothingly before she kissed Tammy's head. The blond turned in her bed to be face to face with her friend, wiping the tears off her face.

"Y/n I.. I've been meaning to tell you..." Tammy stopped to speak making Y/n frown. She caressed her friend's cheek with the back of her fingers and said 'What?' "No, never mind, I can't think correctly with all that alcohol in my system."

"Tell me, I wanna know anyway." Tammy chuckled and lied on her back, looking at the ceiling. She sighed and closed her eyes for a second.

"There's this girl... I don't even know if she's, you know." Tammy folded her hand to mean 'Gay'. Y/n nodded and chuckled at what her friend did. "But I like her, like a lot and every time I think of her, I feel butterflies flying around in my stomach, I smile stupidly and my heartbeat accelerates. I just don't know what I should do."

Tammy looked at Y/n who was already staring at her, a sweet smile on her face. Y/n was happy to hear all that, her friend deserved someone that would give her the world.

"I think you should be honest with her and tell her, even if she's not." Y/n folded her hand what made the two friends laugh. "No, but seriously, maybe she does feel the same and if she doesn't, well that's too bad for her because I would definitely go gay for a beautiful and incredible woman like you."

Tammy blushed at the kind words, but in the dark, Y/n couldn't notice. The older woman nodded and thanked her friend, telling her that she could go home if she wanted.

"No, I'll stay, I don't want you to do anything stupid, you're still drunk."

"I'd probably just sleep until my kids wake me up, but okay."

Y/n fell asleep pretty easily, but Tammy's mind was spinning too much, she was thinking at how she would tell her babysitter that this special person she talked about earlier was her.
