CHAPTER 11

JS2: ZARI'S POV.

I am  standing in front of our new building with Kaden, the long  wait is over. We are already 4th year in Law School, last school year nalang tapos na. Naramdaman ko ang paglingon niya sakin bago ko siya narinig na tumikhim.

"Ready?" he asked me, smiling.

"Hmm, ready."ani ko at nilingon rin siya.

"Okay let's go Zari."excited na sabi niya kaya tumango rin ako at napangiti sa sarili bago kami sabay na pumasok.

Our new Professors introduce themselves individually, at dahil nga first day naman ay lecture lang ang ginawa. Binigyan rin nila kami ng early dismissal kaya nakauwi agad kami ng alas tres ng hapon. Kaden even get off to buy a gallon of ice cream at 5 cup noodles for us, we plan to watch a documentary case about Wella Holand, the girl who got rape and murdered. I am boiling a water when Kaden connected his laptop through our flat screen tv. We just wait for the water to boil and arrange ourseleves in the long couch. 

"You know my oldest cousin who graduated law also used to watch docu? Well aren't we all? He was still high school that time when he started to watch one, he used to tell me about enjoying it while watching but getting aftraid to go bath after...aren't it weird?" usisa ni Kaden sakin.

"I think it's normal, I was like that years ago too. And I also start watching documentary when I was high school. Kumakain pa nga ako ng popcorn habang nanonood, tapos nagtataasan na ang mga balahibo ko pagkatapos...I don't know why, baka siguro matatakutin ako dati." nagkibit balikat ako at ganoon rin siya. 

"Well he is also back then, matatakutin." aniya.

The documentary started with the footages and visible evidences, habang seryoso ako sa panonood ay ikinataka ko ang paglagay ni Kaden ng kanyang braso sa couch na sinasandalan ko at nagiging akbay na ito kung iisipin. Kunwari akong napatikhim pero hindi niya pari yun inaalis at nakangiti nalang akong napapailing at nag focus na ulit sa pinapanood.

I was taken aback when the murderer almost look at the footage and half of his face was exposed.

"Imposible namang hindi pa close ang case, malinaw naman ang mukha ng murderer.." saad ko nang hindi nililingon si Kaden.

"As far as I know the murderer is a billioner,"aniya na nagpukaw sa atensyon ko at hinarap siya.

"Does that mean he payed the court to not accept Holand's case in return?"I ask in disbelief.

He nodded."Ahuh, that's right."

"So Holand can't get her justice? Woah, it's been 12 years since the crime happened."saad ko.

"I don't know either Miss, Shake Welson the murderer also payed for the conviction.."he shrug his shoulder.

"Like a short quote, justice is for rich people only." I utter chuckling.

"I highly doubt that, I take law because of that belief."he told me, telting his head a bit.

"I did because of that belief too, every one deserves a justice.."sabi ko at napalingon naman siya sa gawi ko. 

Tinuon na ulit namin ang buong atensyon sa pinapanood, magkatabi kami sa couch at hindi ko alam kung bakit dikit na dikit kami sa isat' isa kaya akma na sana akong lalayo nang biglang inakbay ni Kaden ang kanyang kamay sa balikat ko na ikinalaki ng mga mata ko.

There is a glimpse smile on his lips when I turn to him, he then look down a bit on me and wink.

"Alisin mo nga itong kamay mo,"reklamo ko sakanya pero hindi siya nagpatinag at mas lalo pa itong hinigpitan.
