CHAPTER 13

JS2: ZARI'S POV.

"Do you want to date me?"

Nahulog ang tumbler na hawak ko at saglit na napatulala sa mukha ni Kaden. Impit akong napapikit at kinuha ito mula sa sahig, mahigpit ang hawak ko rito nang muli kong hinarap si Kaden.

"Is it a yes?"the side of his lips rose up.

"I-i need to go to the bathroom.."I fastly turn my back and run from him.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag pagkapasok sa banyo. Tiningnan ko ang repleksyon ng sarili sa salamin at tinapik tapik ang pisnging namumula.
Bakit niya tinanong yun? Gusto niya bang makipag-date sakin?

Parang tambol ang puso ko sa bilis ng tibok nito kaya napasandal ako habang iniisip ang biglaang tanong niya kanina. Seryoso ba siya? Mag d-date kami? Bakit? Hindi naman kami kaya hindi pwede yun. Otomatiko akong napailing ng maisip na baka nagbibiro lang siya at nag o-overeact naman ako. Baka mamaya isipin niyang gusto ko.

"Zari, are you having a ritual inside? What took you so long?"

I bit my lower lip, nandyan siya. I took a large amount of breath and fix my hair, I hold my chest to control it not to pump loudly before I face the door.

Okay lang yan Zari, nagbibiro lang siya. At hindi kayo pwedeng mag date, hanggang law buddies lang dapat kayo.

I heaved a deep sigh before I open the door plastering a smile on my lips.

"Hey... gagamit kaba? Pwede kana pumasok."lalagpasan ko na sana siya nang hilain niya pabalik ang kamay ko.

Ano bang point? Bakit hindi ako makatingin diretso sa mukha niya?

"May kailangan kapa ba? May gagawin pa kasi ako..."I lied, looking at the other direction.

"Am I being fast?"he ask softly, rubbing my hand.

Napatingin ako roon bago nag angat ng tingin sakanya. I stare at his face for a second..all I can see is sincerity.
I bit my lower lip and take his hand away from mine, I then smile at him.

"You're just joking right?" I fakely chuckle.

He smile shyly."No, I want to ask you on a date...what's your answer?"

Napasinghap ako at nag iwas ng tingin. Seryoso ba talaga siya? I look directly on his eyes as he, we're staring at each other. I don't know but I can see admiration on his eyes.

"You're asking me on a date in front of the bathroom, really?"

He avoid his gaze and chuckle before he pull my hand and take my feet on the veranda. He faced me seriously and took a deep sigh.

"Atty. Keanna Azariella Angeles, do you want to date me?" malaki ang ngisi sa labi na muling tanong niya.

"Attorney? Really?" I laugh at it and he just chuckle before he nod with a glimpse smile on his lips.

"So...it is a yes then?"

"We don't like each other, what's the date for?"napapailing na tanong ko at tumikhim naman siya.

"If you'll say yes, you will find the answer."he told me, tighten his hold onto my hand."Atty. Angeles, please allow to me to date you."

I bit my lower lip and look away. Is it even possible for a 4th year law student to date? Imagine how busy we are, I close my eyes in disbelief when I chose the answer I don't want to answer.

"Okay."

His eyes widened."Okay?"

I nodded twice.
