John B went back to the Camerons house after we left the Crain house, Kie and Pope had a shift at work which left JJ and I at the Chateau.
"Ready for your date?" JJ asked me
"Now?" I asked confused
"Yeah, why not?" He said taking my hand and taking me down to the boat.
"Where are we going?" I asked JJ
"You'll see" He said with a smirk
We pulled up at a little abandoned beach that had a picnic blanket, basket and little candles set up.
"JJ Maybank, how did you pull this off?" I was surprised because he had been with me all day.
"I may have had some help" He said with a little smile
"Well I'll thank Kie later, but this is perfect" I said giving him a hug
"You have had a massive few days and I wanted to do something that would make you relax for even an hour" JJ said
"I love it JJ, I really do" I said kissing him
We sat on the blanket and ate all of the food that Kie had packed in the basket, all of it being from the Wreck and it was delicious. The best thing about JJ and I is the conversation always flowed, there was never awkward silence.
"Sav, can I tell you a secret?" JJ asked as I was laying on his chest.
"Of course" I said looking up to him
"About a month before your dad vanished, I came to the Chateau looking for you after my dad was an asshole but it was really late, like 2am, and your dad caught me sneaking around outside. He realised it was me and brought me inside and made me a sandwich and got me a glass of water and we got talking about my dad. He asked if I was here for John B or you and I didn't answer him at first so he looked at me and said 'I figured'. I looked up to him wondering what he meant when he laughed and said 'Savannah is one of a kind JJ. If you let her in she will give you the world. You deserve someone who puts you first JJ and Savannah will always do that, if you let her" JJ paused and looked at me noticing the tears falling from my eyes
"He was right, you do deserve someone who puts you first and I will always do that" I said looking at JJ
"I thought about what he said every day and then when you got into that fight at the Boneyard because those kooks were saying shit about me, that's when I realised that you would always put me first and look out for me" JJ said smiling "That's when I realised I was in love with you" JJ said looking straight into my eyes "I am so in love with you Sav"
I lent up and kissed him, the kiss was full of love.
"I am so in love with you JJ Maybank" I said kissing him again
"So am I your girlfriend now or still just your friend with benefits?" I said joking but not joking at the same time.
"You are one hundred percent my girlfriend, you are mine for life now" He said, pulling me back in for another kiss.
We made our way back to the Chateau hand in hand, not wanting to let go of each other.
Kie and Pope were already back there and Kie saw me coming with a big smile.
"So the date went well?" Kie smiled
"So good. I'll fill you in later" I said to Kie following JJ to the chair in the corner, Pope sat next to us and Kie lent against the railing as we saw John B approach the house with Sarah Cameron, all the happiness just left my body.
"No effing way" I said as Sarah sat on the couch
"You brought her here? She's in on this now?" Kie yelled at John B making all the boys shrug their shoulders.
"Look, all I care about is her cut comes out of your share" JJ said making me glare at him
"You know, I don't remember taking a vote" I said to the group
"This is our thing, a pogue thing" Kie said to John B
"I gotta say, I'm just a tad uncomfortable with all of this" Pope said to the group
"When are you not uncomfortable?" John B asked Pope
"I rode on the back of JJ's bike earlier pretty comfortably" He said making John B glare at him
"It's true. Most relaxed i've ever seen him" JJ said patting Popes shoulder
"That's cute guys, great" I said annoyed at the boys
"You know we were all extremely comfortable until you brought her" I said to John B standing up from my seat walking closer to Kie.
"Stop talking about me like i'm not here" Sarah said
"Then leave" Kie said
"There's the door" I said at the same time
"I told you" Sarah said to John B
"Told him what, exactly?" I asked her "That you're a liar?"
"No, that you are a shit talking bitch" Sarah said making me angry
"When have I ever spoken shit?" I yelled "You're the one who jumps from boy to boy and John B is just your next fling until you get bored and go back to your kook bubble"
"My money is on Savannah" I heard JJ say passing money to Pope
"No he's not, I didn't lie about shit" Sarah said back
"Everybody shut up!" John B yelled cause Sarah and I to stop arguing
"Savannah, you are my sister, Kie, you are my best friend and Sarah" He paused
"You're my girlfriend"
"That's new" Pope said
"Very new, what happened to all that talk about just using her for information?" I asked my brother, I saw a look of hurt come across Sarah's face
"Get a map, cut her loose" Kie said remembering the conversation
"You said you were using me?" Sarah asked John B who tried to deny it
"Yeah you did" Kie said
"Look, love just walked in, okay?" John B said making me gag
"What? Love?" I said shocked
"Oh vomit" Kie said from next to me
"I'm not going to deny it" John B shrugged
"That's corny" Pope said making me laugh
"Look, cut the bullshit, John B. If she is in, we are out" I pointed to Kie and I
"You are going to decide" Kie said agreeing
"I'm very interested actually, us or her?" I said glaring at Sarah
"All of you" John B said making me shake my head and Kie stormed out
"Went for the hail mary" JJ said
"You are an asshole John B" I said, pushing past my brother and going to my room, slamming the door.
