Against the world/OBX

Chapter 2.

I woke up to water drops on my head, at first I thought the storm must've put a hole in the roof but then I opened my eyes and saw my brother standing over me dripping his water on me.

"Really JB, that's how you wake me up?" I asked annoyed

"Cmon lets see the damage" He said as he went to turn my light on "No power great"

I went to click my phone on and noticed we had no service either. Got to love hurricanes.

I was still wearing my bikinis from last night's surf so I just picked up one of the boys' shirts from the ground and threw it on over my bikini and put some denim shorts on. JJ and John B leave their clothes everywhere, I swear half their wardrobe is in my room. I recognised the scent on this shirt straight away, knowing it was JJ's.

"Yo JJ, you been outside?" I heard John B ask, since when was JJ here?

"I have polio bro, I can't walk" JJ mumbled, not moving from his spot on the fold out couch.

"Polio? Really JJ?" I asked while sitting down on the arm of the couch

"Hey little Routledge" He said opening one eye to look at me "Hey that's mine" He said noticing the shirt I was wearing

"Guess if you have polio you can't get it back" I said laughing at the boy as I felt him move and two hands grab me and pull me down onto the couch, he was now hovering over me.

"Looks better on my anyway" I said looking straight into his eyes

"Mm I think i'll need to see you without it and then decide if it looks better on you" He said clearly flirting with me, I started to blush.

"JJ, Sav." We heard John B call, and just like that JJ moved off me letting me get up and head outside. I leant on the arm rail of the stairs looking out at my brother and the damage caused by the hurricane.

"Agatha did some work, huh?" I felt JJ place his arm around me leaning on the rail also

JJ made his way down to John B by the boat "What are you thinking?" He asked

"I'm thinking that storm surge pushed all the crabs out on the marsh maze, all those drum are gonna chase the crab" John B said

"What about DCS? Wasn't that today?" JJ asked both of us

"Nah, they aren't getting on a ferry" I said to JJ as I was walking towards the boys

"Come on, think about it. It's god telling us to fish" John B said with a smirk before both the boys did a handshake and ran inside.

"Put on swimmers and meet us on the dock in 5 mins Sav" John B called out from inside

"Make it a bikini" I heard JJ say as I was walking inside and I saw John B slap the back of his head.

"That's my sister dude, off limits" he says

JJ and I were standing at the front of the boat while John B was driving us down the marsh. JJ was pointing out all the boats and all of the damage.

"Sure hope Guffy's boat didn't sink" JJ said to John B "He doesn't have insurance"

"Hi Miss Amy! You guys get through it?" John B called out to a blonde lady

"Still here" She said with a wave

"She totally looked at me" JJ said laughing, I rolled my eyes because she definitely didn't look at him

"I saw it" John B said back to his best friend while shaking his head at me agreeing she didn't look at him

"Look at this place" I said to the boys
