Lucy

"We all have demons, Lucy. Have you met yourself?"

Jayden's voice haunted me and pierced through my skin. Yes! I have my demons and I know it

"Shut up!" I say, punching him again and again until he grabbed my wrists and held squeezed them.

"You think you're so perfect? Ms. Perfect over here has never had one bad thing happen to her." He said in a high pitched voice almost mocking me. "Tell us, Lucy. What's your secret? What are you hiding from everyone?!" Jayden says while still gripping onto my wrist.

"Don't you dare try to do that to me. I won't go back there," I say trying to get him to let go of me. His venomous eyes pierced through mine as if he was reading my thoughts and everything about me that I hated.

"What, you don't like me touching you?" He asked. He started to let go of my wrist and he put his hands underneath my shirt. Not this again! "Stop!" I whimper. He took the pleasure in it and smirked, "What's the matter Lucy?" He pushed his body on top of mine against the tree.

"You're just as bad as him!" I said. Jayden froze and stared at me before he could speak. My eyes felt like they were glazed over and I was watching this from another point of view.

"Just as bad as who?" Jayden asked in a concerned tone. I don't think he really cares, he just wants to get inside my head and use my weakness against me.

"Why do you care?" I said sarcastically.

"I don't."

"Then let me go." I finally spoke after a long awkward silence.

"As you wish, Lucy. You think you're so perfect, but I see right through your lies and I know your intentions; whatever it is you're trying to do, stop." Jayden said with unease in his voice. "Remember, keeping all those secrets in your head is what will end up getting you and your family hurt.

"You don't scare me, Jayden. What do you know anyway? Reading someones private thoughts is another low." I said.

"You may be right, it was for a good reason." He said. I forgot he never moved from his position on top of me. I nudged him off and heard the record button go off.

I let my guard down, shit. "You were fucking recording this?" I said with fury. My voice cracked when I said those words because it truly hurt.

"Had to for protection." He shrugged.

"You truly are an evil person!" I said.

"This evil person is leaving. Find your own way home." Jayden said and got in his car and left. Wow, he really just fucking left me here on my own? What if some wolves or bears come out to get me? I had some cell reception thankfully and called Harrison. He's probably wondering where I am and I don't want Logan to come, he'll be mad at me.

I saw Harrison pull up in a Nissan.

"You okay?" Harrison asked. By the look on my face, he could tell I was upset.

"No," I say truthfully. "Let's just say he's an asshole and deserves what's coming to him." I said.

"I'm glad you're okay. I was worried and so was Logan." He said focusing on the road. I stared out the window until we reached the driveway of my house.

"Thanks for the ride, Harrison. Again, I'm so sorry about what happened." I said.

He sighed, "It's not your fault. You don't deserve to have people walk over you like that." He said.

"I don't know how to make it stop." I sobbed, Harrison hugged me. I probably most likely got tears on his shirt.

"It's okay, you're okay!" He whispered, his voice soothed me. It sent electric waves throughout my body and made me feel things. Harrison made me feel safe, even though we just met not long ago.

A few minutes later I gathered myself together and told Harrison to have a good night and to not worry about me. I stepped inside the house and dad was there waiting for me. Gosh, what time is it?

Its nearly eleven thirty, god dad is going to kill me. On the weekdays we have curfew of ten o'clock.

"Dad, it wasn't my fault!" I said.

"Then whose?" He asked with a stern voice.

"Some guy that isn't nice to me..." I spoke in a low tone.

"Was it that boy you just came home with?" He yelled.

"No! I swear, he's just a friend who helped me out tonight." I said with a shaky voice. I hear footsteps come down.

"Dad, it wasn't her fault. It's this jerk at school and I am handling him." Logan said, defending me. Dad's face relaxed and his eyes fixated on me.

"If anyone intentionally hurts you, you can always come to me. No one hurts my daughter like that. I'm sorry Lu. Work has been stressful, I didn't mean to yell." Dad said.

"It's okay dad. You're a concerned parent, and I understand that." I said. He got up from the couch and hugged me. Logan went in for the hug too and we all hugged for a few moments. Mom came down the stairs.

"What's going on dear?" She asked yawning. She noticed us hugging and joined in as well. I loved my family, to be honest I don't know what I would do without them.

I see Karina at her locker. She's back! She seems different though, something must've happened.

I walk up to her and tap her shoulder. She turns around and I automatically see a bruise on her wrist.

"Karina," I say, surprised and confused. I hugged her for because I know she needs a hug right now.

"It happened so fast." Karina said.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I'll explain everything at lunch!" She said.

"I missed you Kar, I did!" I said.

"I missed you too." She says in a low voice.

The bell rang for first period and I gathered my things and headed to class.
