Chapter twenty nine: Fate Gives Second Chances

Lucy 

I was very worried about Jayden wondering when he would come home. 

Seeing him like this made me cry for him. 

I felt his pain. 

I felt his sadness. 

I felt his remorse. 

I felt his cries. 

All of it. 

I loved him more than anything, and that is saying something. Love and trust is hard for me. People have let me down in the past, at times I can take it, other times I can't. Its too hard for me to cope with pain and loss. 

My phone started to ring, I looked at the caller ID. Jayden! 

"Jayden?! Where are you?" I asked frantically. 

"I'm home, I'll be over in a few." Jayden says and hung up. I quickly got ready and got out of my lounge clothes. I didn't even bother with my hair and just threw it up in a ponytail. 

I hear a knock on my bedroom door. 

"Jayden!" I nearly yelled and jumped into his arms. I stood there for a few minutes processing him. 

"I'm okay." Jayden says quivering. I know that voice, he wants to tell me something. 

I cupped his face in my hands, "What happened?" I asked kissing his forehead. 

"I saw my father." Jayden says looking gloomy. I sat him down on my bed and waited for him to tell me the rest. "I wanted to confront him, and ask him why he did what he did. At first, I did not believe his lies. Then it all started to come together while I was riding the subway back here..." 

"He told me my mom started the cheating, lying, and stealing. She wanted to get away from him. But he didn't let her. That's when he married his second wife and had Jalen. I tried asking him where Jalen was, before I thought I knew, but I didn't." Jayden explained. "The dumbest part is that my own biological father does not know where his own kid is." 

"I'm so sorry Jay." I said hugging him. He didn't let go for a while.

I let Jayden sleep over tonight, I didn't want him to be alone. 

He was sleeping in my own bed. 

I'm surprised my mom and dad let him crash here. 

His chest was rising and falling. I watched him as he slept. It's Saturday night, and school ends this Friday for winter break, and I'm excited. I finally have some time to spend with myself, with my friends, and my boyfriend. 

I hear Jayden groaning in his sleep. It seemed like he was having a bad dream. I hugged him and laid my head on his chest. His heart was beating fast, pulsating. I'm up because I cannot fall asleep. Normally I would, but not when Jayden is like this. I wanted to make sure he was okay. 

My eyes couldn't fight sleep anymore, so I fell asleep naturally. 

When I woke up Jayden was up before me, but he was still in my bed. 

"Morning sleepyhead." Jayden says and kisses my head. 

We were still in the same position when I fell asleep. My head still stayed on Jayden's chest. I lifted my head and stretched my arms. 

"Mornin." I groaned. "What time is it?" 

"Almost noon." Jayden said amused by me realizing I overslept. 

"Shit!" I said. 

"No, stay!" Jayden pleaded. 

"I have to shower. And brush my teeth." I say, annoyed. 

"Someone's in a mood." Jayden said sarcastically. I got off the bed and felt my butt being smacked. I turned around and gave Jayden a 'what the hell' face expression. He grinned as I walked over to my bathroom. 

I turned the knob to the hot setting and stood in the shower for a good five minutes before washing my hair and body. 

When I turned around to grab my shampoo, I felt a hard body knock into me. I almost fell on the floor until they caught me. 

"Jayden?" I gasped. "What are you doing?!" I ask in shock. 

"Can't I shower with my girlfriend?" He asked. I never had him in the shower before, god this is awkward. 

"Sure..." I said awkwardly. Jayden grabbed some shampoo and started to rub my hair with it. It felt so good, it was like I was at the salon getting my hair massaged. When he was finished rinsing the shampoo out, he grabbed the conditioner and did the same. He grabbed my pink body scrubber and put some body wash on it. 

He started with my arms, armpits and started working his way all around. He reached my area and began washing it. I lean my head back on his shoulder and almost moan. With Jayden being a tease he moved down my legs. Finally, it was my turn to do the same for him. 

I wanted to shave my legs because girl, these hairy legs need to go. I leaned down to pick up my razor and accidentally bumped into Jayden's friend. Jayden being Jayden, groaned. When I was done doing my girl things he leaned me against the wall and pressed himself on me and planted a huge kiss on my lips.

It's Friday and the last day of school. 

I can't believe the semester went by quickly. 

Karina already went on break with her family to Dubai, lucky bitch. She will be back next week which will give us time to do something. 

I closed my locker after cleaning everything out all excited for what is to come. I felt someone pick me up. Of course, it was Jayden. 

"Hey babe." Jayden says and kisses me. I moaned. 

"People are staring." I whispered. 

"I don't care, let them." He whispers back. When he was done doing his thing he held my hand and let me out of this prison building we call school. 

"What do you want to do?" He asked. 

"I don't know." I said, honestly. 

"How bout we go to Florida?" Jayden asked. 

"What's in Florida?" I ask. 

"You and me." He joked. 

"Ha-ha, very funny." I said. 

"I want to spend time with my girlfriend alone, and your parents already gave me their blessings." Jayden says. 

"I guess we're going to Florida!" I say jumping up and down.
