Lucy
We got to Florida and unpacked our suitcases.
My parents actually let me go on a trip with my boyfriend.
"I'm shocked my parents let me go on this trip." I say.
"Why?" Jayden asked.
"Because, you know how they are." I said feeling dazzled by my surroundings. We were at Naples beach, and it was awesome in the winter. In New York, it is snowing. I'm glad I took my chances with Jayden.
"I love you." Jayden blurted. I looked at him with wide-eyes.
"You love me?" I asked. He smirked.
"I.love.you." He said in between the words.
"I love the sound of it." I say and kissed him hard. He licked my bottom lips signaling me to let him enter. And boy it felt good.
"Jayden. I need air-" I say. He finally let me breathe and threw me onto the bed. The bed was soft, so it felt like nothing underneath. He got on top of me and just laid his head on my chest. He then moved to my neck and started kissing me. I felt hot by the minute.
"We have to check our dinner reservations, Jay." I moaned.
"Fuck!" Jayden said breathless.
"Common babe, we have to get ready for our dinner reservations." I said.
"Fine," Jayden finally says.

I wore a black tight dress that hugged my curves in the right way.
I wore strappy shoes and curled my hair, and put on some eyelashes and eyeliner and called it a day.
"God damn, look at my beautiful girlfriend." Jayden says kissing me from behind. I felt little Jayden on my butt getting harder. When he led me to the door we made our way to the uber to go to dinner.
I still don't know why Jayden brought me here.
What was the purpose?
Why did he pick Florida of all places?
We got to the restaurant and I stepped out of the car.
This restaurant was fancy, much like some places back home in Manhattan.
How can he afford this?
"Babe, thank you for bringing me here." I say appreciative of what he does for me.
"Don't worry about it, it's our special night." Jayden says. He was being very generous and humble, I wonder what's gotten into him. This doesn't seem like the usual Jayden that I'm around. A boy with dark hair, and brown eyes led us to a table.
"Your waiter will be with you shortly," the boy says. Jayden nodded his head and thanked him. I did not get to see his nametag.
When the waiter came and took our order and brought our food I see Jayden from the corner of my eye eyeing the hostess. The hostess that sat us down at our table.
"Why do you keep looking at the host?" I asked, curiously.
"Why do you ask?" Jayden said almost like he was defending himself.
"Nothing, let's just eat." I say.
Jayden kept staring and staring at him and finally I got upset and said something.
"Tell me the truth Jayden, why do you keep staring at him?" I hissed. Jayden flinched like I hit a nerve.
"He's Jalen." Jayden whispered. I gape at him, but not in a nice way. I was mad at him for lying to me about this trip. I should've known. I'm not mad he wants to meet his brother, I'm mad he brought me along just to see him.
I thought we were going to spend time with each other.
"I'm leaving..." I say. I grabbed my bag and cell phone.
"Don't." Jayden said grabbing my arm.
"Get off of me. I need time to think." I said. He let go of my arm and sat at the table. I called for an uber back to the hotel room. I can't with him right now. I know it sounds like I'm being a selfish bitch, but if you were put in my shoes then you know I would feel about being lied to.
I groaned and threw my hands up when I got to the hotel room. I stormed to the bathroom to get rid of this outfit, makeup, and hairdo that I spent my time on. I put on some pajamas and went into bed.
It was around twelve thirty at night when the door finally opened.
I could smell the alcohol when he first came in.
I got up from bed waiting for him to say something, but he didn't.
He ran to the bathroom toilet and kept throwing up.
I didn't move from the bed.
I'm going to let him sit there so he knows how it feels.

It was around nine in the morning when I woke up.
Jayden was awake sitting at the table.
He did not even look at me.
He didn't acknowledge me.
"So this is how it's going to be isn't it?" I scoffed. I wasn't in the mood for any smart remarks coming from him.
"I'm sorry I lied." Jayden said.
"Are you really?" I asked clenching my jaw.
Jayden's entire body tensed, I could see sweat coming from his forehead.
"I am. I searched for him on the internet and found him. I thought this was the perfect opportunity, then I saw how mad you were last night and stayed away from him the rest of the night..." Jayden said. I feel he is being secretive. Why was he out late last night?
"Why were you out late last night?" I asked. I wasn't trying to hound him, but I had a right to know.
"God, why are you being like this?" Jayden said raising his voice.
"You need to tell me the truth, tell me the truth or I'm going back home." I threatened.
"I got drunk, okay! I was upset, angry, hurt. I was mad at myself for hurting you, mad at myself for lying, for being a shit boyfriend." Jayden exploded. Jayden was in a panic state, he put his head in his hands and started to sob.
What's wrong with him?
"Jayden, what's wrong. I'm sorry if I was being harsh. I love you, you know that." I said rubbing his back.
It was like Jayden was gone.
He didn't even look like himself.
He was lost in his own thoughts.
He came back to me after a while, and gave me the longest hug. I needed that, and I know he needed it too.
"It's okay baby, no matter what I'm always here for you. You can tell me what happened." I said.
He sniffled, "I walked up to Jalen, I tried saying hello but then he told me to leave. He seemed angry that I showed up to ruin his life. He said he was happy where he was." Jayden exclaimed.
"It's okay. If he is not ready now, he will be soon. Don't rush it. There will be a time when he is ready to talk to you. Put yourself in his shoes. He's like you, adopted, so you must know what it feels like for him right now." I said stroking his face.
"God, I love you." He says and leans his head into my shoulder.
"I love you too." I said, and I meant it.
Hey guys, I'm so so so sorry it took me a minute to update the book. I was focused on school, work, and all of the above. But I'm trying to finish the book. Chapter forty five will be the last chapter.
