Lucy

As soon as Jayden saw me he started to walk my way. He seemed pissed, I can tell by the look on his face. His nose scrunches, and his forehead veins pop out. His jaw clenches and everything about him is just tense.

His nostrils flared as he spoke, "What the fuck are you doing here?" He asked.

I lowered my head trying not to look at him when he is like this... "None of your business." I said. I surprised myself, normally I wouldn't say things like this, I wasn't drunk yet because I am not a lightweight. He cocked his eyebrow and pushed me against the wall.

"Don't you dare fucking speak to me like that." He said grabbing my wrists tightly. Our bodies were so close to each other, it almost looked like we were kissing. It was dark in the house and the music kept getting louder and louder. I could feel the vibrations among the wall of the house.

"You weren't fucking invited, so I suggest you leave." He said. Where is Karina and Logan when I need them? I wish my brother were here to see how Jayden fucking treats me.

I didn't realize I was holding my breath until I spoke, "I was invited. By who is none of your business. Let.me.go." I said trying to fight him off. Finally he let go and I ran away. Why does he think he can control me? I'm not his puppet, I am not someone who he could easily walk over. I am not afraid of anything anymore.

I walked upstairs to find a bathroom that was not full of people making out. The upstairs part of the house was really nice and quiet. No one was really up here, and I'm guessing no one was allowed upstairs. Once I got done in the bathroom I was curious to whose house this was. I walked further to the hall trying to find a room to get some answers. I heard people talking distantly.

"Do you want them or not. Take your pick, and I need payments now." The voice said.

"I'll get you the money on Monday." The voice said faintly. Huh, I wonder who it is. I took a peak as the door was only slightly open. I looked inside and it was Marcus. I slapped my hand over my mouth in shock, but who was he selling to? I tried to look but I couldn't get a good view. I felt someone breathing over me. Jayden. What the hell? He dragged me into an empty room.

"What are you doing up here?" He asked. I ignored him not wanting to talk to him right now. I tried to get up to leave but Jayden pushed me on the bed. "You're not making this easy." He said turning away.

"I was looking for my brother and Karina." I said.

"Who is your brother?" He asked. Why does he want to know?

"Why do you want to know?" I asked.

He groaned, "Forget it!" He huffed. I needed to get out of here, I wanted to go home. I made a run for it when Jayden wasn't looking and finally escaped his hold. I found Karina downstairs in the living room making out with some guy and dancing on him.

"Karina, we have to leave!" I said shouting over the music.

"I'm havingg fuuun." She said. Clearly she was drunk and couldn't handle her liquor properly. I found Logan outside on the deck talking to some people. I dragged him inside to help me get Karina so we can go home. I figure she can just sleep over until the alcohol has worn off.

the next day

I groaned. My head hurt from the alcohol, this is the part that I hate about drinking. Since I am not a lightweight, I don't feel the side effects right away. Karina was still asleep so I decided to make us all some breakfast while mom and dad went to work. Logan was already up drinking coffee on the couch.

"Morning." He said.

"Morning."

"Is she still asleep?" He asked.

"Yes. She'll be okay though," I said. "I'm making some eggs and toast if you're hungry."

"I had some cereal. Thanks though," He said looking at his phone. My brother has the exact same hair color as me, same eyes and nose. We could practically be twins, but he is a year older than me. He works out almost every single day, he is more buff than most of the football players.

I remember everything from last night, even though I had a good amount of alcohol. Marcus sells drugs. This takes me back to the night of dad's attack. He was busting people for a drug ring, and he got caught up in a dangerous act and got himself almost killed because of it. I couldn't hang around people like that. Jayden and Marcus make my life a living hell since the day I got to Prestonwood.

I heard some noise coming down from the hall, Karina must be awake.

"How did I get here?" She asked.

"We drove your car here since we didn't know where you lived. You passed out last night after making out with some guy." I said. Karina rubbed her eyes and smelled the food I was making for her.

"You cook?" She asked.

"Sometimes. I got a little rusty since moving here." I said. I did like to cook whenever I had free time. It was one of my passions and hobby besides going to the gym.

"Last night is such a blur," She said. "I don't remember how much I had to drink. I don't even think I drank a lot..." As I finished making eggs and toast I handed her a plate and took a plate for myself. I got her a fork and knife, ketchup, salt, and pepper.

"Mmmm. This really is so good," She said.

"Thanks," I said. "Do you need advil?" I asked.

"No, I'm good. I slightly feel better," She said.

Once we were done eating, Karina said she had to go back home because her parents must be wondering where she is. She thanked me for letting her stay over and for making her breakfast. I wanted the day off to chill and to not think about what happened with Jayden and Marcus last night.
