Chapter Twenty Four: Wolf Of Lisa's Past
"Stop!" I shouted, concentrating hard on gaining control over my body again.
"What?" She asked annoyed and I came to a halt.
"I'm going to pretend whatever you said to me was my mind going completely insane. All I want to know is why do you like Hunter so much? What's wrong with Severide?" I asked with sadness in my voice.
"Lisa, Hunter is the love of our life, he's the one we are meant to be with. I'm sure Severide is great, but he can't be Hunter." She answered calmly.
"But I love Severide." I pleaded, hoping she would allow me to go back to him.
"You love Hunter." She corrected. There was a slight pause in her voice and I could tell she was thinking. "Want me to show you?" She asked.
"Um..." I couldn't find the words in me to answer.
Should I let her 'show' me? I mean if I really am crazy, then this will prove I've hit a new level. I don't want to believe her, but how could she love someone I don't? Severide is the love of my life, not hers. She loves Hunter, but if we're the same person then why isn't it that I love Hunter?
This is so confusing, maybe I should let her explain it all.
"Lisa, let me take you back. Lets start from when I was young." She chuckled to herself as darkness flooded my sight and my head began to spin.
My legs gave out and I fell to the forest floor, shutting my eyes and losing all consciousness.

"Lisa?" Cam asked, approaching me in the dark room.
His dark brown hair blended with the night, but his golden eyes stood out. I lifted my head from my knees to get a look at him before giving an answer.
"Cam," I shook my head, squeezing my eyes for the tears to stop. "Why hasn't she returned?" I whispered
I sobbed to myself, my Mother has been gone for far too long. Something is wrong, I know it is but no one will tell me what. I miss her and Dad won't tell me why she left in the first place. Did he do something? Did I do something? The thought of me making my Mom mad and forcing her to leave killed me.
"Lisa, stop crying. You didn't do this, she left to help the pack out." He sat on the floor next to me, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.
Cam pulled me into his hard, strong body in comfort and I rested my head on his shoulder. How could her absence possibly help the pack? She's my Mother, I need her. I'm only 13, how can you leave a pup behind for your pack? I'll never understand why I'm kept in the dark all the time, I have a right to know.
"Cam please, tell me why she left." I begged him, looking up into his bright golden eyes for an answer.
Something, I needed anything to help make sense of all this.
"Lisa I can't tell you what happened. She gone and she'll be back soon, I promise you that." I nodded my head at his words.
Cam always keeps his promises to me. He's only 17, but he knows so much. Everything he says always happens, he's very mature for his age. I wonder if when I get to be 17, I can be like him. I want to make my Father proud, be strong, brave and a fighter. I want to make my Mother proud, be kind, limitless, and understanding. I want to be everything for them, but it's harder than it sounds to accomplish that.
