Chapter Twenty Seven: Council Of The Fates

I woke in a dark room, my head was throbbing and I went to rub it. Sitting up, I looked around to find any source of light or anything that would point the way out of this darkened room, but like always, I came up empty handed. I let out a loud sigh of defeat, this couldn't possibly get any worse than it already has. I'm tired of all this nonsense, I'm more than ready to go back to my normal, boring, everyday life.

"I'm sorry Lisa, but that's not going to happen." The voice who's usually in my head spoke aloud from another corner of the room.

"What's going on?" Is the best thing I could think of to ask, seeing as she's not in my thoughts anymore.

She let out a long sigh before answering. "What I feared would happen."

I heard the clicking of high heels walking down the room and echoing off the walls. I backed up into the wall, not knowing where else to go. The room remained dark until the heels came to a stand-still and another click from a switch went off. It took the lights some time to light, but in time, the room went from pitch black to bright, causing me to shield my eyes so they can adjust.

I looked around at the blank, white, empty room. A wooden table rested in the middle, two chairs set up for people to sit. I looked around for the girl with the voice, but I couldn't see her. I began to wonder where I am and how I got here. Nothing looks familiar and come to think of it, I don't really remember anything that goes past me talking to Severide and Hunter.

"You've been injured." The voice answered, practically reading my mind. "Severide flung you against a wall. He lost control Lisa, this is exactly what I was warning you about."

"You're wrong! Severide would never do that!" I shouted, defending the love of my life.

She let out another sigh, not liking my stubborn attitude one bit. "Lisa, please just hear us out."

"Us?" I questioned, looking around again in search for the meaning in her words.

My eyes fell upon the now open archway in the room. Four shadows stepped out from the darkness and into the light. I first noticed the girl who looks like me, wolf Lisa. She wore black tights and a black singlet. It almost looked as if she's more than ready to go to war right now with the knife tucked away in her dark brown, buckled boots.

Behind her were two twin girls, both smiling over to me. From their pin straight blond hair, to the size of their nose, shape of their face and bright green eyes, they looked exactly alike. To the very back of the crowd was a boy. He leaned against the archway, wearing a black cloak and keeping his face hidden. I squinted to get a better view, but it was no use. The man turned his head away, giving nothing up about him and making me more than curious.

"What's going on?" I finally managed to get out, breaking myself from my thoughts.

"Allow us," The twin to the right spoke up. "I'm Shimmer." She smiled brightly.

"And I'm Glimmer!" The twin to the left chimed in, matching Shimmer's beautiful smile.

"We are the rulers of the Fairies," Shimmer informed me. "We over see everything that has to do with powers,"

"Visions," Glimmer added, helping her twin out.

"And most importantly," Shimmer stated.

"Wishes." They both said at once.
