Chapter XXIX

I sat there in silence. I hummed as I pour my early morning coffee in my cup. I tasted and and giggled at such sweetness, the way I like it. Masaya kong pinagmasdan ang paligid. I could see birds chirping and flying around to find things to use for their nest.

I smiled when I saw that they were helping each other. Sabay-sabay nilang binubuo ang bahay kung saan mananatili ang kanilang mga anak. They don't feel tired from flying all day just to finish their nest. It's their home. Someday, I want to build my own home with my beloved too. Sabay naming itatayo ang pundasyon, ang aming pagmamahalan, sisiguraduhin naming magiging matatag ito at hindi matitibag ng kahit anong pagsubok.

Nakangiti pa rin ako nang makita ko ang mga ngiti ni William sa malayo. He was dressed nice today. He always dress nice eversince we saw each other again. Pero kahit ano naman ang isusuot ni William ay gwapo pa rin siya.

"Good morning," he greeted. I smiled and greeted him back.

"Coffee?"

He nodded and sat beside me. Kumuha ako ng isa pang tasa sa loob ng kusina. Nang makabalik ako sa veranda ay nakangiti pa rin siya sa akin. Woke up in the right side of the bed, huh?

I poured coffee in his cup, then a right amount of cream. 

"Sugar?" I offered ngunit tumanggi siya. He said it's too sweet for him.

"So what brought you here early in the morning?" I asked while sipping my coffee.

Tinikman niya rin ang ginawa ko para sa kanya. I giggled when I saw a small amount of cream left on the side of his lips. I took it with my finger and I felt him tense. I looked at him in the eye and he looked darker all of the sudden.

"You're beautiful in the morning," he said with his green eyes twinkling.

Natawa ako dahil sa kanyang sinabi. Bolero. "Stop it, William. I haven't took a bath, yet! Look at you, you look perfect!"

"I'm not perfect, Charlotte. But I will be if you're with me," he said darkly.

Huh? Anong sinabi niya? Nabingi yata ako. I was flushed so I didn't reply, more like I didn't what to respond or how should I react to what he said. Akala ko ba friendship lang ang gusto niya.

In the end, he never said a thing again.

"You know—"

"Alam mo—"

Awkward. That's the best word to describe us right now. I'm always awkward when I'm with Bill. I'm shy but I felt comfortable being awkward with him. Sa tingin ko masisira na ang ulo ko dahil sa mga iniisip kong ito.

"How's the coffee?" I tried to end the awkwardness.

Nakita ko ang pagseryoso niya kung kaya't napaayos ako sa aking upuan.

"I'm sorry but.." he sighed before leaning and claiming my lips. I gasped and he took that opportunity to move. I felt him sucking my bottom lip before he returned to his sit.

I was shocked. Wow. He taste to good— I mean what?

Napatingin ako sakanya at nakita ko ang palihim niyang pagngiti.

"What was that?" I tried to sound mad but my softness of my voice was against me.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't control my urge to kiss you, Charlotte. I'm not sorry for the kiss tho," he smirked.

My eyes widened. "William!"

He laughed and went to my side. Akala ko ay hahalikan niya akong muli ngunit nagulat ako nang lumuhod siya sa aking Charlotte.
