Chapter XXX

Chapter XXX

"Hold my hand, Charlotte. I think I'm gonna faint," William voiced out.

Natatawa kong hinawakan ang kanyang kamay. We are now on the outskirts of Genova. Today is the day I will introduce him to my family. Ang sabi niya ay matagal na niya itong hinihintay at nag-ensayo na rin siya ng kanyang mga sasabihin sa aking mga magulang. But seeing him now, hyperventilating like a child performing in a crowd full of people, I can't help but laugh at the constipated look on his face.

"What if they won't like me, Charlotte?" He asked worriedly.

My eyebrow shot up. "Why won't they like the most gorgeous man I've ever met?"

He froze and looked at me weirdly.

"Do you think I can your family with my charms?" he asked while putting his left hand below his chin, like he was thinking seriously.

I gasped and our laughter filled the whole carriage. Good thing the window curtains are down and nobody can see us laughing like madmen.

But he went to his usual self and looked me in the eye. "I'm serious, Charlotte. What if they won't like me? I've hurt you in the past."

I rolled my eyes. "Oh, William, stop living in the past! We're here now, and we're meeting my parents. Stop worrying, love. I know they will like you."

He sighed and kissed my knuckles.

Our carriage stopped when we reached the tall gate of our mansion. It opened and it lead us to a road. Our carriage then stopped after a minute or two. There's a huge fountain on the middle, and behind it stood our perfect mansion. My father renovated it months ago, and now, it looks great.

Naunang bumaba si William sa karwahe at pinagbuksan niya ako ng pintuan. He held my hand as I stepped down on the carriage. I smiled and squeezed his hand before taking a deep sigh and stepping inside.

The guards greeted us when we passed through the huge double doors. Nang makapasok kami sa mansiyon ay bumungad sa amin si Kirsten. She has a huge smile plastered on her face. She congratulated us before leading us to my private chamber.

"They were anticipating to meet you, Bill. Good luck, love birds," she whispered before opening the door that leads to my father's chamber.

Hindi na kami nagpaligoy-ligoy pa ni William. We were both serious about each other so we wasted no time. Though he never asked my hand for marriage yet, he asked me if he could meet my parents and ask for their blessing first. He's such a gentleman.

"Hindi ba tayo masyadong nagmamadali, William?" I asked him one time.

He shook his head. "We lost a lot of time, Charlotte. I can't waste any more time without tying you to me," he said and I smirked.

"You're that smitten, William Isaac?" halakhak ko.

He suddenly pulled my wrist so I landed on his lap. He encircled his arms around me and buried his head on the crook of my neck. He sniffed and kissed it before whispering in my ear.

"I just love you too much I couldn't bear you leave my side again."

I smiled, a genuine one and let my hands hug him back. "I promise I won't leave you. Please don't leave me again. It hurts seeing you walking away from me."
