Forever Yours: How it all Began

Chapter 26

It's a beautiful sunny day and I'm sitting at my desk working on my next project when my office phone rings. It's Darah on the line.

"Hey Tee, are you busy?"

"Not really, just going over some cost efficiencies for our next project. What's up?"

"I wanted to know if you have plans for July 4th. Are you going home?" Darah asked.

I told Darah that I didn't have any plans but I wasn't sure if my parents would be visiting. She wanted me to find out if they were coming because she wanted me and Jaxon to go on a beach trip with her and Isaac. I told her that I'd check with my parents and let her know. July 4th was two weeks away. My parents hadn't mentioned coming but I still needed to be sure. Going ahead and calling my mom so I wouldn't forget, my mom picked up on the first ring.

"Hello, Tahleea is everything ok?"

I'm not sure why she thought something was wrong.

"No mama. Everything is fine."

"You don't normally call while you're at work so it kind of scared me. How are you doing baby girl? Are you taking care of yourself? Are you eating right? Are you resting?"

I just started laughing.

"Mama, I'm taking care of myself. I've even gotten back into the gym. I have to keep up with my mama." It was her turn to laugh.

"I'm glad to hear that. Did you need something?"

"Do you and dad have plans to visit me during the July 4th holiday?"

My mom told me that she didn't plan to take vacation so they wouldn't be visiting. She thought I was upset about it, but after I told her the reason I asked, she told me to go and have fun. I told her I'd call later because I wanted to hear dad's voice. We said I love you and ended the call.

I called Darah back and told her that I would be free. She let out a high pitched squeal and told me that she was glad I could come because she and Isaac had already rented a beach house in Destin, Florida.

I love my crew. They always have me going somewhere. They are my family. Not to mention Jaxon and I have been spending more time with one another.  He works out with me at the gym, cooks for me most nights, and always encourages me to rest. I can't believe how attentive he has been regarding my health. Not claiming to know everything I need from a man, but he's damn near a total package, that is if we were dating.

This Florida heat is almost as bad as Texas. It's HOT! Me and the crew had our chairs, umbrellas, music and everything else we thought we may need while spending time on the beach. I fixed us all a few sandwiches and bags of fruit. We also had chips and plenty of water and Gatorade that was packed on ice. 

I laid my beach towel across the back of my chair and asked Jaxon if he would rub me down with sunscreen. Of course he obliged.

"Tee why do you do this to me?" Jaxon asked.

"Doing what Jaxon? I only asked you to rub me down with sunscreen. You don't want me to burn from too much exposure to the sun do you?"

I love teasing him. I've definitely caught feelings for him. I love how he makes me feel. We laugh, joke, and have heart to heart conversations. We've talked about our goals and things we want in life.

After he finished applying sunscreen, I did the same for him. I noticed he shivered under my touch. That was so sexy to me. When I finished applying the sunscreen to him, I leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his lips. Grabbing his hand, I led him to the ocean. Once we were deep in the water, I jumped up and placed my legs around his waist.
