Hello Sunshines,
How many of you still get up before the crack of dawn to go Black Friday shopping?

My alarm clock was blaring. I needed a few more hours of sleep. The only time I'm up at three in the morning is when Jaxon or I are in a mood. I got up, turned the coffee maker on, made sure my mom was awake and went to my bathroom to take a shower.

Once I was done getting myself together, I got my coat, purse and cell phone and met my mom in the kitchen. She had already fixed us a big canister of coffee. She went into the guest bedroom to kiss my dad and let him know we were leaving.

We arrived at Best Buy around four o'clock and it was already crowded. I'm getting Jaxon a pair of Bose headphones for Christmas. They're not cheap, but worth every penny. Best Buy is having a Black Friday sale so I took advantage of the mark down price. I paid for the headphones and we went across the street to Madison Square Mall. My mom was getting my dad a few Nike sweat suits and hats. I also bought a few sets for Jaxon. I stopped by Dillard's and purchased several outfits, hair accessories and shoes for my god-daughter. I also picked up a few Polo shirts and sweaters for Jaxon.

While my mom was shopping around getting a few things for my dad, I went to Zales Jewelers and got my mom a diamond tennis bracelet with matching earrings and two sets of gold cufflinks and matching tie clamps for my dad. I'm having them engraved, so I'll have to come back early next week to pick them up. I made my way to Victoria's Secret and got LaShae, Darah and me two sweat suits from the Pink collection. I also got myself some more bra and panty sets and a one hundred dollar gift card for Jaxon's sister.

As I was walking back to Dillard's to find my mom, I walked past a store called Lids. The store sells different types of hats. I bought my dad and Sean a Dallas Cowboys bucket hat and a toboggan. I also purchased a San Francisco 49ers bucket hat and snapback hat for Jaxon's dad and a fifty dollar gift card for Isaac because I wasn't sure what team he is a fan of. Once I was done paying for my items at Lids, I went back to find my mom. Thank goodness she was already in line to check out. I still hadn't gotten anything for Jaxon's mom, so I gave my mom one hundred dollars and told her to get a gift card since she was in line to be checked out.

Before leaving, we stopped by Sears so I could get some towel sets, another comforter and a sheet set. We had a lot to carry, so we requested security for assistance to take our bags to the car. Everything was loaded into the car.

It was now daylight. We stopped by the Waffle House and had breakfast. Me and my mom talked about everything. She and dad have planned to go on a cruise in a few months and she was excited about going. My parents look so happy. A second chance was all they needed.

After we were done eating and talking, we ordered breakfast to go for my dad and made our way back to my place. I was so tired from our shopping spree, but I was glad to spend that time with my mama. Times like this are priceless. When we entered the apartment,  my dad was already up and dressed.

"I thought I was going to have to call HPD to search for you two." My dad said.

He walked up and kissed my mom on her lips and grabbed her butt.

"Ewww not in front of me please! I don't need to see all of that."

They both found what I said to be amusing and laughed at me.

"We didn't say anything when Jaxon was laying it on you. I almost told him he didn't need to kiss my baby girl." My dad said.

"Jaxon is very affectionate, but I am surprised he kissed me around you. He was a nervous wreck knowing he would be meeting you daddy."

We all laughed and went to the car to unload and bring everything in the apartment. My dad sat down at the table to eat his breakfast and drink his coffee. I told them that I was feeling tired and was going to lie down for a nap. Before I could close my eyes, my phone rang. Rushing to answer thinking it was Jaxon, I was surprised to hear Andre. He hasn't called me in months. We only communicated by text whenever he did reach out to me.

He wanted to know if we watched the game and I told him we wouldn't have missed it. I told him he had a solid game and looked really good on the field.

"So you were checking me out Tahleea?" Andre asked.

"No Dre, I meant that your skills are solid and you had a very good game."

"Damn, I thought my baby was checking me out. Are you coming home for Christmas? I want to see you." Andre asked.

I told Dre that I may visit the week of Christmas but would have to be back by the 29th. It would all depend on my parents' plans. He seemed to be excited about me coming home. We talked for another twenty minutes before hanging up. I laid down across my bed and went to sleep.

A few hours later, I was up and energized. The early morning shopping took a lot out of me. I went to the bathroom to freshen up. When I was done, I walked in the living room to see only my dad sitting on the couch.

"Where is mama?" I asked.

"I guess the early shopping trip must have gotten the best of both of you. She laid down to get some rest."
My dad said with a chuckle.

I sat down beside my dad and snuggled under him so I could join him in watching Gun Smoke. He loves old western shows. About an hour later, my mom was awake and all three of us were sitting on the couch watching whatever my dad wanted to watch. I think today we'll just stay in. My parents are flying back to Dallas in a couple of days and I want to be under them as much as I can.
