It's one hour until I walk down the aisle to join Dre in holy matrimony. Our backyard was decorated so beautifully. The wedding coordinator did an amazing job. Everything was just as Dre and I wanted. My mom, LaShae and Darah were in the room helping me get dressed when we heard a knock at the door. Darah opened it to see that it was Jaxon. He made sure I was dressed and asked permission to enter the room. He wanted to talk to me in private, so I dismissed my mom and friends.

"You are so beautiful Tee."

"Thank you. And you are so handsome. I'm so glad you're here with me."

"I wouldn't have missed it for anything."

Jaxon walked up to me and kissed me on my cheek.

"I will always love you Tee. Nothing or no one will ever change that."

I looked up at Jaxon and pulled him in for a hug. I melted into his arms. Why does it feel like in his arms is where I should be? I pushed those feelings aside.

"I will always love you Jaxon."

He then places a lingering kiss at the corner of my lips. As he walks off he tells me that he will always be around when I need him. I smiled and gave him a wink before he walked out of the door. My mom and friends came back in the room. They announced that we now have thirty minutes before we start. I started getting nervous. This is it. No turning back now.

We heard a knock on the door. It was our wedding coordinator coming to get everyone lined up. Dre and the minister were already waiting. My dad looked down at me and placed a kiss on my forehead.

"My baby is getting married. I'm so happy for you and Dre. Always keep the line of communication open baby girl. Don't assume that he knows what you want or how you feel. Don't be afraid to express your feelings to him. And you should always be open to him talking to you. We men don't like talking so you may have to pull it out of him. Just be patient with him. You guys are young and you will learn the do's and don'ts of your relationship together. Don't tell your business to anyone else. Work on your issues together. Don't go to bed angry with one another and always be sure to say I love you. I told Dre the same thing I'm telling you. I love you Danielle."

I got on my tippy toes so I could kiss my dad on his cheek. I'm really a daddy's girl and I know he's having a hard time letting go.

Soon we got the signal that it was time for me to walk down the aisle. With You by Tony Terry started to play. My dad and I walked out of the sliding door. Everyone stood up with their eyes on me. My legs became weak. The joy and happiness of it all was overwhelming. My eyes finally locked in with Dre's. He had the biggest smile on his face. His brother was patting him on his shoulder.

Dad and I continued to walk down the aisle. As I got closer to Dre, I could see that he was crying. I tried my best to hold my tears back, not wanting to mess up my makeup. When we walked up to the arch, the minister asked "who gives the bride to be wed?" My dad said "I do" and then kissed my cheek before placing my hand into Dre's hand. LaShae took my bouquet and Dre and I turned towards the minister.

As the minister was talking, Dre and I were lost in one another. I mouthed to him that he was handsome and he said I was more than beautiful. It was time to say our vows. Dre said his first and I didn't think I could make it through without breaking down in an ugly cry. It was now time for me to say my vows. My feelings for Dre since I first met him was poetically written into my vows. Most of our guests were blotting their eyes with tissue when we were done.

After placing the rings on one another's finger, we walked to the unity candle and Dre said a prayer of unity after we lit the candle. When we were back at the altar, the minister presented us as Mr. and Mrs. Hassan. Dre picked me up and threw his tongue so deep in my mouth. It was as if he was waiting for this moment. I grabbed him around his neck and deepened our kiss as if that was possible. At that moment I was so happy. No one can take this feeling away from me.

We walked down the aisle with our hands intertwined. Just before we got to the end of the aisle, Dre picked me up above his head. He looked up at me with the biggest smile I've ever seen on his face as I looked down at him with the same expression. He placed me back on my feet and we followed the photographer to the area where pictures would be taken of us, the wedding party and family as the guests were ushered into the tent set up for the reception.

After an hour of taking pictures, it was finally time for us to enter the reception. The wedding coordinator introduced the wedding party then it was time for Dre and I to enter. Everyone was standing and clapping as we made our way to our seats. The DJ started playing the song for the mother and son dance. Dre walked to the table to escort his mom to the dance floor. It was such a beautiful sight. Then it was time for me to dance with my daddy. I felt like a little girl again. I could see the happy tears in his eyes. He was trying his best not to cry. Once our song was over, Dre was standing behind my dad waiting for our dance. The song transitioned to For You by Kenny Lattimore. Dre held me so tight as we moved to the music. He leaned down to kiss me and whispered in my ear how he's so in love with me. I couldn't hold it any longer. The ugly cry was finally released. I pray every day after this feels like our wedding day.
