Into The Woods

When Danny woke up, Raven was sitting in his computer chair on the laptop typing away at something while zombie was on the side of him in bed. He got up quietly, trying not to disturb her. He ended up stepping on a piece of paper and she turned quickly.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you." he said

"It's fine, I mean it wasn't important or anything." she looked to the floor and tried to close the laptop.

Danny quickly took it away and looked at it. He gave a puzzled look at it then looked at her. He saw she was looking at the recent murders.

"I thought we were gonna do this together. It's like you didn't even sleep, there are papers thrown everywhere."

"I'm sorry its just you were sleeping so peacefully and I didn't know what to do."

"Why didn't you try to sleep?"

"I can't, ghosts can't eat, sleep, and I get flashbacks of my death sometimes."

They looked at each other for a few minutes. Raven took the computer and started walking away.

"Where are you going?" Danny asked

She didn't answer him and kept walking. When they got to the top of the stairs she turned around to look at him.

"You are gonna eat breakfast then I'm taking you to where I used to live."

She tripped down the stairs, as she fell the memory of her tripping over the root of the tree filled her mind. She screamed and landed at the bottom of the stair case. Danny ran down the stairs to get her.

"Raven!"

He picked her up off the ground. She had her hand on her head and they looked at each other. They walked in the kitchen together and Danny had pancakes with eggs and bacon.

"Mom, I'm gonna be a little late coming home today. I'm going to go in the woods." He shouted as he left the kitchen.

His mother came running out. She hugged him and held his shoulders.

"Just promise me while your gone you'll be careful. There have been murders all over the city."

"I promise. Don't worry I'll be back at ten o' clock."

He gave his mom another hug. They went to go leave but Zombie came running toward them, he quickly ran out with them, and they started walking to the place Raven called home.
