Hermione looked up from the 'contract' and saw Malfoy spread over her bead throwing his golden snitch
"Aren't you going to help?"
He groaned and sat up
"How's the contract coming?"
Hermione sent it to him and he revised it
"No kissing unless absolutely necessary...no PDA unless absolutely necessary...no—seriously?" He asked annoyed
"That goes on the list or else you're out on your arse" Hermione threatened
"No sex? Really? Weren't you just throwing yourself at someone?"
"That was different"
"How so?"
"Because I liked him, I barely tolerate you"
Draco threw a pillow at her
"Keep going" Hermione ordered
"Once we both benefit we go back to being friends...and absolutely — wow you really went in with that word didn't you?" He smirked
"Finish the rule" Hermione gritted out
"Absolutely no falling in love"
"Do we have a deal?" Hermione asked
"Deal" Draco agreed
"Don't make me regret this"
"Wouldn't dream of it, love" he winked
"And no flirting! Add it to the list" she ordered
"Come on Granger, I flirt with my girlfriends, fake or not" he pouted
"Fine, only flirting when absolutely necessary"
"Quick question...is 'absolutely' your favourite word?"
"I'll hit you again and throw you out on your arse" she threatened
"So abusive" he muttered
Hermione went up to him
"How are we going to announce it? We can't exactly be like 'hey after five years we're dating! How's the weather today?' We need to have a story" she said
"We start with subtle touches, make our friends begin to suspect something, then Pansy will demand Theo to ask us if we're dating, we won't give him a full answer and then he'll run back to his girlfriend who will come to the conclusion and confront us while the idiot eats popcorn in the back" Draco shrugged
Hermione raised an eyebrow
"What?" He asked annoyed
"You've put a lot of through into this...sure this isn't a ploy to finally confess your undying love for me?" She smirked
"Rule number — what is it? — ah yes, five, I'm not in love with you, I just want my freedom"
"Awfully defensive for someone who isn't in love with someone" she winked and kissed his cheek
Draco rolled his eyes
"Okay...so that's how we tell them...how do we tell your mother?"
"Easy, the mill, we won't have to do anything so we don't have to worry about that"
