Draco was nervous

He hand a hand through his hair and made sure his suit was wrinkle free. When he looked top notch, he disapperated and landed outside of Hermione's flat

He knocked twice and began to wait for her

He glanced at his watch for the up tenth time before the door opened. He glanced up and felt his breath hitch

She looked absolutely beautiful

She was wearing a simple lace dress

And it was green

Slytherin Green

"Y-You look...absolutely beautiful..." he whispered softly

Hermione blushed and looked down

"Thank you" she whispered when she looked up "and you look...handsome"

He smiled and extended the bouquet of flowers, Hermione smiled softly and put the flowers into the vase

"You always choose the best flowers" she whispered

He kissed her cheek and took her free hand in his

"Ready?"

She nodded and he vanished with her. They landed on a rooftop with fairy lights dangling on, other witches and wizards talked sofly amongst themselves and their dates as Draco helped Hermione remove her cloak and walked her to their table, they were overlooking London and the view was spectacular

But Draco did not pay one mind to the view beside him, his focus was only on Hermione

He needed to tell her

Tell her then

Tell her now

Before something disturbed them again

Before another misunderstanding

Hermione needed to know what he was feeling before it was too late

Hermione needed to know what he was in love with her

Before life got in their way again

As Draco helped Hermione sit down. A waiter came and took their drinks. The couple were both nervous because this was the night that they were going to confess their love for one another

After some liquid courage

Draco and Hermione always found something to talk about

Their table was never silent

After giving their orders. They both knew the time was there

"I need--"

They both laughed softly at their trip up. Draco took her hands and rubbed small circles on her knuckles

"You go" Draco whispered

"You should go..."

"Granger"

Hermione took a deep breath

It was better if she went

"Draco...you and I have been friends for five years...but we've known one another for longer than that...I guess...in a way...you and I had always drawn one another...and becoming friends with you was the best thing that has ever happened to me...but over these last few months--"

"A chicken parmesan spaghetti with garlic bread for the lady, and the grilled dijon salmon for the gentleman, anything else?"

"N-No thank you" Draco coughed slightly, sitting up straight and glaring slightly at the waiter
