It was Monday morning, right before classes started, and as usual, or at least since David gave him these orders, Erick sat at a faraway bench set table alone. He looked at the table that the four girls occupied every morning, which was always the same bench set next to the large palm tree, and played with his pencil. Right now, only two of the girls were there, Christina and Marissa, meaning that the other two were somewhere in the school. Erick looked at the bench set not too far from the girls' and found it to be empty. That bench set was always empty in the morning, but during snack and other times, it was occupied by Andrew and Israel's group of friends.
The male wondered why he does this for a living. Was it for the money? The BSIA did pay their spies a lot of money, despite being a small, secret company. So that was partly why he agreed to do this for David. On the other hand, he was also genuinely curious on the group's powers and how they were affiliated with Doreen. Were they her new test subjects or something? Erick shrugged, giving up on the thought and deciding to focus on his unfinished physics homework.

Melarni stood in the empty music room, the one that the music class/groups always used for practice. She was alone, and she preferred it that way. She hated it when people watch her practice her singing, yet she really wanted that solo for the music fundraising show that the school held at the end of every year. The ones before, she would always panic and leave the line for auditions because her stage fright would get to her, but now... she was determined to get it. Sure, the girls always encouraged her to do it, but she was a scaredy cat before. Now, she wanted that solo more than anything and was willing to swallow her fear and do it. Maybe it was to make her parents proud, to prove that there was something she was really passionate about, and singing was that for her. Or maybe it was because she got superpowers now and can turn into any animal in the color green.
She stood in the middle of the room, behind the little music sheet stand, and looked at the lyrics to the song that she was about to practice. She needed to wow the music teacher that was conducting the auditions. The music show generally consisted of solos, but there were always some duets mixed in. This time, the theme was "the 2000's", so she chose Everywhere by Michelle Branch. She picked up her phone and unlocked it. She checked the time, and she still had twenty minutes before classes started. She played the instrumental version of the song and looked at the lyrics. She waited for the opening of the song and started to sing.
"Turn it inside out so I can see
The part of you that's drifting over me
And when I wake you're... you're never there
But when I sleep you're, you're everywhere
You're everywhere." Melarni sang, giving herself to the lyrics and feeling a happy flutter in her stomach. She loved this song! She continued.
"Just tell me how I got this far
Just tell me why you're here and who you are
'Cause everytime I look
You're never there
And everytime I sleep
You're always th-HOLY CRAP! WHO LET YOU IN?!" Melarni screeched, brown eyes wide when she saw Ivan standing by the open door. In her shock, she knocked the stand over and yelped when it made a loud clatter on the floor. She was pretty sure she locked the door, even though she doesn't own it. Ivan smirked and chuckled."You sound great!" He clapped happily. "Are you gonna audition for the music show?" Melarni narrowed her eyes at him as she picked up the stand and set it back up. She stopped the music and put her phone inside her bag. She hated it when people caught her singing without her knowledge. It irked her.
"Yeah," she said as she started putting her stuff away, "what's it to you?" Ivan shrugged, his smirk becoming an amused smile. She hasn't even known the guy for 24 hours and she already doesn't like him. Sure, she thought that he was really cute, but he was just downright teasing her right now!
