Chapter 6

When Marissa opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the large wooden sign that said BETTER THAN SEX WINTER RESORT. She raised an eyebrow and looked around, seeing all of the hurrying teenagers (late teens and young adults) walking around, chatting with their friends and loved ones while lugging their suitcases towards the large resort. Something about this situation felt real but at the same time... not real. Like being here feels real... but there's something wrong here.

"This resort looks amazing!" Marissa saw Jazmine and Melarni's jaws drop in unison as they looked at the winter resort in front of them.

Apparently, Doreen had arranged for them to stay at the BETTER THAN SEX WINTER RESORT for a week, all expenses paid. Besides the crude name, the resort was beautiful. There were several different main buildings, each being different. For example, the main building they were standing in front of was The Lobby Building where you can check in, hang out, etc. The 14-floor building next to that is the Guest Building where the all of the guests would stay in. On the other side of the Lobby Building is the Food Building where the cafeteria is. A little further away were the event and music halls. Beside them were the resort gym, spa, and library.

"Who would name their resort that?" Marissa muttered in both confusion and disgust. If she were to be transported to a mysterious place all of a sudden, she could've at least been transferred to a place whose name wasn't sexually referenced. Andrew snorted, a loud chuckle coming from his lips.

"Sounds like my type of resort." The metal manipulator commented, full blown laughing now while Israel tried to cover his own laughter. Immediately right after his comment, Andrew fell to the grass covered ground face first. "Okay," he said and shot a smirking Christina a glare after spitting grass and mud out of his mouth, "you didn't have to do that."

"Just trying to keep this trip PG-13." Christina laughed and looked at her nails with fake interest.

"Oh like you're one to talk." Andrew retorted as Jazmine and Israel helped him up. He dusted himself off. "I'm not the one cussing every five minutes!" Christina narrowed her eyes.

"I do not!" The telekinetic bellowed. "Sit boy!" With that, she brought her fist down and Andrew face planted on the floor again.

"Woah Christina, did you just copy Kagome from Inuyasha?!" A voice exclaimed and the group turned around. Doreen, Marisaa thought.

"Doreen!" Jazmine and Melarni screamed before charging for the mystery girl and engulfing her in a hug.

"This place looks amazing!" Melarni cheered after pulling away from her.

"Apparently you're not the only ones who think so." Doreen elaborated with a chuckle. "A lot of people from your school are here, too, for the winter holidays."

"Really?" Andrew asked absentmindedly as he and Israel walked up to the girls. He was rubbing his aching jaw with a wince. "Oh hey, the guys are over there!" He exclaimed and pointed to a group of guys who were currently taking out their suitcases out of a van. He turned to the superhuman standing next to him with a grin. "C'mon Israel, let's go. We need a break from these savages." He gave a pointed look at Christina and walked towards the other males. Israel followed suite after smiling and waving at the girls.

"Good riddance!" Christina cheered happily. She flung her hand out in a shooing motion and laughed when Andrew tripped over his feet.

"Hey! I felt that!"

"Whoops!" Christina hollered. The group laughed loudly.

"Tell Matthew I say hi!" Melarni yelled while waving her hand in the air.
