The first thing Andrew saw when he woke up was a golden colored ceiling and bright lights. The lights blinded him momentarily and he closed his eyes tight. What happened? Where was he? The last thing he remembered was being stabbed and losing a lot of blood and pain and then blacking out. Was he in heaven? Did heaven have a golden ceiling? He opened his eyes again, this time slowly, and looked around. He was back in his cabin room, he one he shared with this guy named Checed and Robert. He was lying on his bed, the single bed aside from the bunk bed, and he was under a white blanket. He sat up in the bed and craned his head, only now noticing the figure on the side of his bed. She was sitting on a chair and her arms were folded on top of each other on the side of the bed, her head resting on it. Something about this situation screamed deja vu but he just smiled as he watched her. Her sleeping face was facing towards him. She looked tired.

"Jaz," he whispered - why was he whispering? - and poked her head with his finger, "wake up." At that, her eyes slowly opened and in seconds, they widened in surprise and her whole body woke up.

"Andrew!" She screamed in glee and got up from her chair. She launched herself towards him and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, unintentionally choking him. But that's okay, he didn't mind. "You're awake!" She cheered happily and pulled away. He saw her frown and her eyes droop before she wrapped her arms around his torso in a proper hug. "I'm so sorry." He blinked and reciprocated the hug.

"What happened?" He asked even though he already knew the answer. She released him and went back to sit on her chair with a sigh.

"I tried to kill you again," she started and placed her hands on her lap, "or Sher the ghost, or whatever." She licked her dry lips. "She knew that I kept my daggers hidden in my boot and she used it to kill you." She looked up at him, tears behind her eyes. "Andrew, I'm really sorry! I didn't mean for this to happen!" A tear slipped from her eye and she quickly wiped it away with her hand. "I joked about it last night because I didn't think it would be that serious, but I didn't think it would get this far." She covered her mouth with her hands to prevent from sobbing, but it didn't work. "We almost lost you, and I'm so sorry!" She cried and covered her face with her hands. Andrew quickly scooted to where she was on the bed and wrapped his arms around her, allowing her to rest her head on his shoulder. He felt her wrap her arms around him tightly and he smiled.

"I can't die, remember?" He chuckled and rubbed her back soothingly. "Plus, that ghost's plan backfired since we're talking right now."

"That's because Marissa healed you," she sobbed, "if she wasn't able to do it, then we really could've - "

"Shh..." He hushed and continued rubbing her back softly, a smile on his face. "Even if it was your body she inhabited, I can never be mad at you." He nudged her head with his playfully. "Remind me to thank her soon." She laughed and ruffled his gel-less hair.

"Take her book shopping," she remarked, "or just get her a $200 gift card to Barnes and Noble." He nodded and laughed. She pulled back from his embrace and leaned against her chair. He reached over and wiped stray tears away.

"Better?" He asked and squished her cheeks with his palms.
