you always see them in the movies.
you think they're over-exaggerated, dramatic moments in time when you watch, the woman spiraling downward in a pit of rage and sorrow, tears of rain accompanying her screams in pain and agony as she mourns what was lost. the clenching of the chest and the pulling of the hair, the gasping for breath as she crumples to the ground and melts in her place, withering away to nothing because she's lost the person that she thought she'd have forever.
break-ups.
"No, Lorelei. I can't keep doing this to you. You don't deserve it."
panic
"Josh, don't do this to yourself. You know i'm here for you and will help you get through this."
"I have a problem, Lei. You said it yourself, I-" A deep breath. "I'm not dragging you down this rabbit hole with me."
The tears stung.
I saw them brimming in the corners of his eyes and I couldn't bare to see him cry. I never see Josh cry.
My heart was aching, pounding with adrenaline, but not the good kind.
The kind that makes you feel like you need to sprint, run away from the problem until you can't breath anymore, clutching your chest and doubling over because you can't seem to figure out how to breath again. The kind that makes you want to do something crazy to forget what the fuck just happened to you.
