How To Save A Life <FINISHED>

Yeah, I didn't like you anyways.

"Hey!" I yelled. Everyone was so loud that they didn't hear me. "HEY!!!!!" I yelled it much louder. Everyone stopped talking and looked at me. Since there was so many people in the room, not everyone could see me, so I hopped up on the counter top. "We should sing a song." everyone nodded in agreement. "I'll play, but what song should we do?" 

"FALL!!"

"DONT YOU WORRY CHILD!!"

"I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE!!!!!!"

People were all yelling different things.

"Okay, I'm thinking of a number between 0-50. The person who says it gets to pick the song. Now, everyone form a line in front of me. You have to say the numbers in order though." I explained. Everyone formed a line and started saying their number as they went. 

"The last person said 36... so, 37." one girl said.

"You got it! Okay, what song should we sing?" I asked her. I'm pretty sure her name was Marie. 

"I like the song Don't You Worry Child, so lets sing that." I nodded and told everyone that we were singing that song.

"Hey everyone, I'll be right back." I told them before I walked down the hall with the rooms in it. I stopped at Suzan's room. I knew she wouldn't come. 

"Suzan? Its me. McKenna. Listen, I'm sorry about what happened. I should've never done that to you." I said through her door. Her door swung open and she pulled me into a bone crushing hug.

"Stop. Don't say your sorry, because I'm the one who should be saying that. I am sorry. I don't know why I was so mean to you. Can you forgive me? Please." she said into my shoulder.

"Its okay. I do forgive you. I always will." She turned around after I let go and tried to close her door to her room, but I put my foot in the gap so she couldn't close the door. "Don't you wanna come to the sleepover?" I asked once she opened her door fully again.  

"I didn't think you wanted me there."

"Honey, you have to read between the lines. EVERYONE is invited." I quoted what I wrote on the poster. 

"You put that there on purpose?"

"Of course. Now c'mon." I took her hand and pulled her out of the room. "WEVE GOT ONE MORE!!!!" I yelled as I walked into the main room. Everyone cheered and hugged Suzan. "Now whose ready to sing?!" again, everyone cheered.

There was a time. I used to look into my father's eyes. 

In a happy home, I was the king, I had a golden throne. 

Those days are gone, now the memorie's on the wall.

I still hear the sounds of the places where I was born. 

Up on the hill across the blue lake, thats where I had my first heartbreak.

I still remember how it all changed. My father said:

Don't you worry, don't you worry child. 

See, hevan's got a plan for you. 

Don't you worry, dont you worry now. 

We all sang together. It was beautiful - not the singing, but the moment. Dani picked up her camera and snapped a picture of me singing with everyone surrounding me and singing along.

"I've picked a song myslef. Um. Yeah. Some of you might not know it, but just go along with it." I explained before starting to sing.

I feel like I'm a million miles away from myself,

more and more these days. 

I've been down so many open roads, but they never 

lead me home. Now I just don't know:

Who I really am, how its gonna be. Is there something

I can't see? I wanna understand. 

Maybe I will never be who I was before, maybe I don't

even know her anymore. Or maybe who I am today

ain't so far from yesterday. Can I find a way to be:

Every part of me. 

Once I finished I realized that I had been the only one singing the whole time. Weird. I got up and went to the DVD player that was set up in the front of the room.

"WE MISSED YOU." I heard someone yell. Not just anyone though. Louis. I heard screaming and I turned around to see group standing there at the door - by "the group" I mean One Direction, Sam, Austin, Alex, Paul and Dave. I got tears in my eyes as Austin ran to me and picked me up in a hug. 

"I missed you so much." He said through his tears.

"Don't cry Austy, I missed you too." I said back into his shoulder. I pulled away and we wiped eachothers tears. I went to everyone else and hugged all of them. "What are you guys doing here?"

I wanna save ya, wanna save your heart tonight. 

One Direction sang and harmonized perfectly. I smiled and the tears started to fall again.

"Oh, dont cry McKenna." Sam told me as she hugged me.

"So, I'm going home tonight?" I asked as I looked at each of them. Everyone nodded and I squealed. "Did you hear me singing?" I asked quieter this time. Everyone nodded and told me how good it was. I said goodbye to all the girls at the hospital and Dani helped me get my stuff.

"When are you leaving Dani?" I asked her before I left.

"Oh um,... I don't think I ever will..." she said quietly.

"Why?" I had tears in my eyes knowing that she would be here a while.

"I could've left ages ago, its just that... m-my family doesn't want me." she started choking on her words as she cried.

"Shhhhh..." I said as I hugged her. "You can come with us." she pulled away and looked up at me with hope in her eyes.

"Really?" she whispered. You could tell she was doubting me.

"Of course. Go get your stuff. We'll sign you out and I'll meet you here." she nodded and ran off.

"Guys, Dani's coming home with us." I told everyone when Dani left to get her stuff. Everyone smiled and nodded. Except Sam. "Is there something wrong Sam?" she scoffed and took a step toward me. Everyone looked suprised. 

"Yeah, actually there is. I hate you guys. ALL of you. I never even wanted to be with you guys in the first place. It was all an act." she said as she got all up in my face.

"What about your baby?" I snapped back at this. She laughed and reached under her shirt and pulled out one of those fake baby bumb things. Everyone gasped.

"I'm done with you guys. Don't bother talking to me agian. I hate all of you. Expecially you Alex."

"No problem. I didn't like you anyways." Alex told Sam.

"Why were you dating me then, huh?" she asked him.  

"Because I felt sorry for you. Only a mother could love you. Actually no. Scratch that. Nobody could love you. Now get out." she scoffed once again and stormed out. We all started laughing at the oddness of that.

"Well that was surprising." a girl standing next to me said. That made me laugh even harder.

Nothing can ruin my attitude right now. I feel on top of the world.
